Ok, so I think this 'Ofsted' idea is good for the Events department, undercover evaluations of their work. I'd probably say that you would check each host about 2/3 times, and simply fill out a form each time. Just need ideas for what to include so far...

So far I have:

Date:
Host:
Event:

Did the event start on time? If no, when did it start?
Was the host quick inbetween games?
How well did the host introduce the game? Did they explain the rules before hand?
How often did they advertise Hx.com/HxF.com?
Did they explain what reputation is when asked?
How much interaction was there between the host and the players? Could people feel excluded?
How well did the host deal with rulebreakers? Did the host follow the correct warning procedure?
Was the event original? Was it fun to play?
What was good about this event?
How could this event be improved?
Would you attend this event again?

Anything else that should go on there? Once we've got a good enough set of questions, I guess we can start evaluating events if people want too, and gather some decent feedback. Maybe even some graphs (E.g, which hosts start on time, and which hosts have the latest average start time).

I've already been to one event today that didn't start until 16 minutes into the hour :P

Also worth asking, should submitted forms be posted publically so people can see what is happening? Or should it be sent to events management?

If it didn't start on time, was there a reason?
e.g. An event I was at today didn't start exactly on the hour but the room was open and we just had to wait for more plays.

I like the idea, but if these forms are taken from everyone then some people could make stuff up.

Your last point is very true, and frankly there's disadvantages to whoever you decide to do it. Opening it up to everyone, people will make things up. Opening it up to Events Staff, people will be biased to their friends. Open it up to Management, bias can still creep in along with not having enough time to get them done.

The ideal situation is to get people that are completely independent and have no interest in the people that are hosting the events... But then who decides if a person is independent? :P

On mobile so reply won't be completely massive , they already do feedback PMs to events hosts about most of the stuff up there. But they should consider going on a clone / unknown account as its very easy to act completely different around a senior+ compared to how (crap sometimes) you are normally.

Oh I've read it all wrong woops. In response to last point is ratjer have them public so it scares some Eos into actuslly trying to improve

You didn't read it wrong :P I don't mind if just general members want to do the forms, or management, but if management do it, they should go on noob accounts to get a true picture of what's happening.

How often are the feedback PMs done? Because I can't say I've seen much change in the last few months in regards to events. Who sends the PMs? Events Manager and Assistant?

There's plenty of people on here that people automatically trust. I don't think i'm that close to any events staff, so I'd happily evaluate an event, it is of course to help make events better. So we are really helping events help themselves, so people shouldn't lie!

Seniors do the feedback PMs , I'm not sure how often theyre done but for the month I rejoined , I received 2 of them, I don't think theyre done that much tbf but only the manager would actually know

Well I'd happily do this when I get to an event :P. Although maybe not if I have someone I'm close to hosting it. If the forms etc anonymous, other than to the management who receive them, then I guess that could stop people being as biased anyway - and I'm sure they would be (anonymous, that is).

did comity show up? if not why?

i like ur idea kardan hope to see events improve :) maybe if manager was as picky with events like they are about forum sigs being over by 22px we would see an improvement

Inseriousity.

I have no issues with members doing feedback reports on events and sending them to events management. I'd encourage that really as obviously management can't be at every single event. I have an issue making it public because it's a voluntary role and I think it's overzealous to put individual staff members under that microscope. When I was competitions manager, I had a rule that you could be as harsh as you wanted towards me (and alex, my assistant manager at the time) because when you get to manager, part of the responsibility of that role is that you have to open yourself to public scrutiny and accountability, from both the members and the staff you're in charge of. The other half of the rule, however, was that you couldn't publically humiliate or criticise another member of staff, there was a system in place to deal with that. I feel the same principle applies here.

Okay here's what we're going to do!

In the next hour or so, we're going to create a feedback submission form in the form of a Google document survey thing.

This will include mostly Kardans questions above (and a few of our own we have thought of)

We will post a link to this form for those who wish to use it to provide feedback on events. Both members of the public AND managers will use this form, as I feel it is vital that we do our own research too, and we will be regularly attending events on clone accounts.

You can use the form whenever you have attended an event and have serious feedback on it which you feel should be brought to our attention, or simply if you have enjoyed an event and want us to know about it. :)

Obviously we cannot guarantee that all of submissions we receive will be 100% accurate, however I think it will be easy to identify the serious ones, and we can then look into any issues that may have been brought up and identify any patterns which may develop in certain events/with certain hosts- since a permanent record will be held.

The good thing with google docs is that it allows myself and Alex to view all of the results in a table format which is private, and it keeps it all together so we can review them with ease.

I think this is probably the easiest way to do this, but as I said, we will be attending more events ourselves and doing our own 'mystery shopper' audits during events too.

We also have something else exciting happening this weekend, events/community wise so keep your eyes peeled for that! :)

Does that sound okay to everyone? Any other suggestions? :) @Kardan (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=3428); @sex (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=101389); @Mr-Trainor (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=47332); @e5 (http://www.habboxforum.com/member.php?u=30040);

Thanks for the good feedback guys :)

There will be a box for an optional name if you wish to make yourself known, but this will be optional and you can do it completely anonymous if you wish

Alex is hosting an event soon and we want to work on the questions together and make sure it contains everything we need it to, so expect to see it ready by about 9pm :) It will be a great help to be receiving regular documented feedback rather than just people saying xyz happened randomly etc :P

The feedback submission form has now been created and can be used right away. You can access it by clicking this link:

Thanks to Kardan for the idea! :)

Cheers Jesus

Yeah it is quite long, but we wanted it to be as detailed as possible, and people could always give short replies if they wish to speed through it. :P If you're evaluating the whole of an event though I would have thought there would be quite a few different areas to explore and comment on etc.

Also, I mentioned it earlier, but myself and Alex will be using this form to when we conduct our own research and its things we feel will help us gain a better understanding of what things are constantly going wrong and group them together etc.

The answers go straight to our private emails so we'll see pretty much as soon as you've submitted something!

Thanks for the feedback guys and I hope this proves to be useful! :)

(Sorry for bump, but it's relevant)

Just a little something:

http://prntscr.com/1ebd56

I'm hosting a simple easy event, and it's a full room. Not sure how Habbox events aren't as popular when you lot have the forum, radio, main site, twitter and all that.. and it's constantly full, the event started at 12.00 a.m too. Not much advertising was done for my event either. :S

Strange really.

I'd say you're a fairly well known Habbo though because of your Trade City, so it could be that :P.

I'd gladly get involved in this.

I think one question should be whether the event hits a quota of advertising habbox and habboxforum... (at least twice every hour an event lasts).

I think some people could advertise in their events more often. Some people do it more than others but I think there is definitely room for improvement!
