I have been playing runescape since Rs Classic and I always loved the improvements Jagex has done for all these years. Now the rs3 is mainly for interface which is confusing at first. Me as a beta tester I still get confused from the new interface. The new skill should be exciting for those who enjoys prayer skill. I heard it should be a skill similar to Prayer which I cannot confirmed it is like it.
You know when EOC came out many players quit because they didn`t like the "New Evolution Of Combat" aka EOC. They quit due for this huge update until Jagex decided to put the 07 runescape servers once again so these people who quit due to EOC well they mostly came back and started to play again but they didnt return to eoc but they are playing on 07 servers which they have to start to lvling their skills over again. What I am trying to say is that I hear a lot of people already hating on RS3 so let me tell you this, there is another big chance that lots of players will quit eoc and rs3 for 07 servers.
Woo it's finally being implemented :D

And probably because of this more users with leave it for 07 servers....

Why would they leave over a graphical update that is completely optional to play, provided your computer has the requirements to run it. Afterall Java will still be there and will have both the camera and NIS changes

Well I wouldn`t know how active 07 is since I do not play it due for starting all over again.... but maybe it may be less active but you never know what will happen once rs3 will be out. Will we have more players joining or will a few people leave rs because of the huge change? We will know the answer when it will be officially out.

The RS3 update is not like the EOC update- the EOC one fundamentally changed the game, and made it something which many people didn't want (they liked the 'old school' one click combat sorta stuff). RS3 is just graphical changes- the game itself isn't changing. I doubt many people if any will leave over RS3- if people stayed for the EOC then there's no reason for them to leave because of RS3.

how is one new skill going to fundamentally change the game?
Did masses of people leave when summoning came out?
When dungeoneering came out?
That's like saying that you think people would quit over a new quest coming out :P
DAMN A NEW QUEST I HATE RS NOW

yeah maybe quest was a bad example for me to use as i never really liked quests either.
Not to the extent that I didn't do monkey madness however :P
