i'm really happy at the moment: at a top university/drama school (and doing well), got a cracking boyfriend and we have a lovely flat and i have a new job that pays well but also allows me some freedom.

had a rough few months but things are very good now.

it's not all bad, I'd be nowhere near as happy as i am if i didnt go through depression first imo. you begin to appreciate simple daily tasks such as talking to someone easily which 'normal' people will take for granted, so to be able to do that is an accomplishment and thus happiness. a lot of my happiness is to do with being able to break out of negative thought patterns and habits. so really, i had to be unhappy in order to understand what happiness is.
