Couldn't find any threads on this and thought I would post one. Anyone been playing Cube World recently? Basically it's a Voxel-Based exploration RPG. It's currently in "Alpha" but you are able to buy it and play it in it's current state. Like you could when Minecraft back in the day.

Yeah Martyn came from the habbo radio communities, then migrated to youtube wher ehe got picked up by The Yogscast, so he's on their payroll right now and from the looks of it seems to be doing very well for himself.
Watched a few LPs of it and it looks pretty good, i'll probably end up getting it soon
I got when they put it up for sale, it is fantastic. I have spent quite a while on it already, for such an early alpha release it is amazingly filled with content, the planned updates are really exciting as well, it is well worth the money and anyone who enjoys action RPGs should certainly check it out
Finally registered after a few days of down time. Just need to hope the shop comes up soon now :D
P.S if anyone's trying to register/buy the game, the following is a good site to use:

It only works out to about £13, completely worth it IMO

DirectX or CubeWorld? Im trying to install the trial first to see how it runs, to the best of my knowlege im far about the required system.

DirectX
You might have resolution issues on the demo, so the only real way to know if it will run smoothly is too bite the bullet and purchase alpha.

I wonder where the inspiration for this came from.
Just like minecraft, it simply doesn't interest me.

Inspiration for what? cube/block based? It's called voxel and was around way before Minecraft, Minecraft just made the style popular..

That would be my point.
