They're not *meant to* speak afaik (that's what it was like a few months back anyway) so they probably just mistyped a command.
fire her and put her head on a spike
nice find

Think its cause Sulake might get the blame if onr of their mods says something stupid.

It's not for the reason you stated, otherwise ever company ever would have 'No talking' rules :P
It's just so they focus on the work I guess. MODs a while back would chat a lot, and I guess that's a lot less productive.
They stopped chatting after the big mute didn't they?

I think some users easily exploit them when they can talk/ threaten them so it's easier they just shut up

Yeah but most companies aren't directly talking with teens. I would assume that this is the reason they can't talk. They outsource the moderators to a third party company and don't want the risk.

Many people speak to teenagers during their line of work, other Habbo staff included. I'd also assume that MODs have to be CRB checked to work with Habbo, so chatting shouldn't be an issue.

Seems clever not allowing them to talk - at the end of the day, they're paying them to moderate and not chat.

Yeah, it's so they focus on the work. Although on smaller hotels like habbo.fi, because there are less users online, if you ask them something on the Call for help (report) feature they usually write a reply instead of using the usual pre-made replies like "use the help tool" and they sometimes do seem to speak too.
