I was talking to Emily/Dangerinmetal on Skype the other day and she made me remember the older programmes I used to watch on TV. She didn't know what Bananas In Pyjamas was, so I thought why not show her? Bad idea, as after that I went to look for more old programmes, bringing memories back and I even dragged Skynus into watching Maggie and the Ferocious Beast! For this competition I want you to post a video of an old television show you used to watch and tell me why you enjoyed it so much (if there aren't any videos just describe it).
The most touching and memorable will win.
Good Luck!
Prize: 5 credits + 10 rep

Bear in the big blue house was my favourite tv show when I was very young because I learnt so much from it. I still have a huge teddy of the bear that I've refused to get rid of for years :P

Man, I loved Bananas in Pyjamas... one of my favourite shows as a kid. But at the risk of repeating you, another show I loved was The Big Comfy Couch. The incredibly overjoyed and silly looking host always had me in a trance. I'd lay on the floor and pretend to be a clock as well and learned that it's not as easy as it looks. In short, the sillyness and happiness that weaved the show together really got me... but at age 4 I think most did.

I actually came across this the other day after having forgotten about it since i was a child. I went from watching the intro to going through my loft and watching every video of it i had. It's great haha, it brought back so many memories and just made me happy, I used to watch it with all my family and we all loved the fairytale side to it:D

It took me ages to decide between this and Tots TV. But I chose this one because I never failed to watch an episode when I was younger and I used to have teddies of them both :P
