Is there anywhere in the UK where you can buy the 2013 Xbox 360 with a 250gb hard drive :S? Amazon and a few other places I've checked only have the 4gb model :(.

I don't think you'll be able to get one in the UK at the moment. By looking at this page: http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox360/consoles/standard/Home

It seems they only list the 4GB 2013 model.

Ah ok. I wonder why :P. Might just buy the 4GB one and then buy a hard drive separately.

Is it just me or is the Microsoft website not working.

http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msuk/en_GB/DisplayHomePage displays a blank page
As does:
http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msuk/en_GB/pdp/NEW---Xbox-360-4-GB-Console/productID.282127200

Had to happen when I want to order it :(.

Loading fine for me :)

As you said, buying a hard drive separately might even work out cheaper :P

Unfortunately not :(. The 250gb Xbox if it was available would be £199 - the 4gb Xbox is £149 and I'll get the hard drive for £59 (http://www.very.co.uk/xbox-360-320gb-media-hard-drive/1029223887.prd?amendCommerceItemId=189330001231) meaning like £9 more :L. Plus that's without a headset - not that I need it. Although, that'll be 320gb rather than 250gb for £9 extra so I guess it is cheaper in a way :P.

And oo I'll try restarting and see :). Thanks!

Ah that sucks! I mean, I have the 250GB model and am no where near the limit. Defo over 4GB though!

Maybe get a 100GB HDD instead? That'd bring the price down a touch?

This is the cheapest official Microsoft hard drive though - and I've heard only official ones will work in the Xbox 360 E (can't remember where I read that though), and I guess it'd be more reliable too. Just ordered it anyway :P and at least it's £20 cheaper than buying directly from Microsoft :).

I couldn't comment on whats compatible but I would've thought any would work. Meh. Don't take my advice haha :P

They have special firmware, only certain Harddrives will work, and you need to flash them, you can only use the capacity that Microsoft offers (I.E you buy a 500GB Drive, the best one to flash would be 320GB, As thats the highest Microsoft offer, and it only works with certain drives, its just easier to get an official one.

Just ordered one, will let you know if it is actually the 360 E when it arrives.

But it's £250! You could get the 4GB model for £150 and a 320gb hard drive for £60 which is what I did :P. And then of course you can buy the wired headset if you wish to do so. Works out cheaper than £250 :).

---------- Post added 30-07-2013 at 11:43 PM ----------

I don't think it's actually the E. The description says it comes with 5 USB ports, there's reviews from last year and there's nothing saying its a new product.

Got 10% off so its not too bad plus top cash back. I phoned them earlier to raise the same question, they told me that it was only recently added, so it is more then likely the new model with the old description, they said the other 250GB Xbox was different, they passed me over the order code and it was the older S model, so fingers crossed, it will be here on Thursday, along with a few games (Also pre-ordered Payday 2 as it looks friggin' awesome)

Some bits of the order arrived today, however no console yet, delivery is tracking for tomorrow, I will be sending it back and getting the 4GB and a 320GB drive if its not the new 250GB, haha.

It arrived, it wasn't the new model unfortunately, I have however decided to keep it, as it has an extra USB Port and the optical audio, and component cables work with it.

Ah that's a shame. Bit of false advertising on their part then.
