The Royal Baby Is On It's Way!

http://thinkprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/katewill.jpg

The Duchess of Cambridge has been taken into hospital and is now in the early hours of labour. The gender of the newborn is currently unknown however that hasn't stopped many of the worlds biggest press being camped outside the St Mary's Hospital awaiting this Royal birth.

It is believed the next time William and Kate will be seen in public will be when they appear on the steps of the hospital with there newborn baby.

It's been a few days, and past many expected dates of birth, but what do you make of the hype of the new, newborn baby - the new royal baby, who will be third in line to the throne?

What do you make of it, discuss below :)

Urm that was a bit rude? Don't be so ignorant, you clearly have no idea how stressful and scary labour and childbirth can be for a woman, especially if it's her first baby. As shar said, the media are disgusting even though it was bound to happen it's still not right. Shar cares because by being a midwife and all she understands the process of childbirth and what affect it can have on women.

It's just my opinion. I support maintaining a women's dignity and respect - the little she may have left of it - during this time. When a women is in labour/is getting induced etc they're worry about the safety of the baby, they're asking questions like will my baby be ok, what's going on etc. The media is just skipping to the "is it a boy or a girl, what are they going to name it?". Again its only my opinion, and I totally respect yours.
And yes thank god I am not famous.

Now we know it is but it's not guaranteed in labour at all times.
There is really no reason to show me any attitude. Yes the baby is important in many people's eyes because of its hereditary title but in my opinion we are not any less important. It's thinking like that that feeds the rich and missed class.

Sometimes it's important to remember that not only is this the future King of the United Kingdom, but also the future King of Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Barbados, Jamaica and about ten other sovereign independent states. :) Was great to see landmarks in Canada and so on lit up blue.

Still no name though, hoping anything but a George or Edward. Hopefully i'll live under this Monarchs reign if i'm lucky. :P

Yeah we'll be in our 80's or 90's at least I think. :P

A lot of our age group has good chances though, one of my professors said how 1 in 5 of our age are expected to reach 100. So good odds!

Interesting fact!

So the baby has now been revealed to the world...it has "a good pair of lungs" and "has no name yet" and Kate's good looks. Just for those who are very interested.

His name has been decided as George Alexander Louis.

Thus, he'll be Prince George.

Seems a bit dreary to me just naming royals with George over and over again in recent times.

^That's my favourite :P Anyone who follows Philosoraptor will understand.

George is the only name it could have been. Louis will not be used while Charles is alive because the Duke of Edinburgh's brother (I think?) was called Louis and Charles was very fond of him. He was killed by terrorists, so the name Louis seems to be associated with bad luck at the moment. The most you will see of it is as a middle name. James won't be used because there are already James' in the family (Kate's brother and another Royal), William will not be used for obvious reasons, and the same goes for Henry and Charles.

-:Undertaker:-

Boo, another George. The name I least wanted.

Even more boring possibly as it's rumoured that Prince Charles will take up George VII as his regal name.

That seems a bit weird :/ I'd just call him King Charles anyway.
