I've largely followed policies which I would advocate in real life, and my nation has some of the highest economic, social and civil scores possible. But of course as you'll see in the game-generated description of my nation state below, NationStates.net exaggerates the effects for comedic effect. :P


The Grand Empire of Briutannia is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Emperor Daniel I with a fair hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 6.134 billion are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals is mainly concerned with Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Pretoria and New Delhi. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Book Publishing, and Retail industries.

Inter-species marriages are ignored by the government, homeless people are frequently charged with trespassing on public property, immigrant herding has become a national pastime, and commercial jingles have been ham-handedly forced into world renowned symphonies. Crime is a serious problem. Briutannia's national animal is the Lion, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is The Imperial Church, and its currency is the Imperial Sterling.

I'm not entirely sure how the WA delegate thing works so idk how to change things back but I don't think it really matters, none of us are quaking in our boots too much I'm sure

I had my Imperial Council taken over a few times, it depends how you set the WA Delegate status on the grouping - you can give the elected WA representative of the group powers which allow them to change the flag, description etc or you can remove them and the WA just performs a ceremonial role with only voting rights at the World Assembly thing.

The way to get control back is to either disable those rights in settings or we can simply all vote for a WA representative for Habbox.

No I phrased it badly. The public sector contributes to 63% of the GDP and the private sector 37%. It's the pie chart under the "Economy" link on each nation's page.

I was quite used to the private sector doing it all and then I drove businesses away woops.

And yeah you basically just choose the direction you want your nation to go in terms of rights and issues, you can join the World Assembly (which doesn't do a lot) and you can roleplay in the forums if you really want
