I've heard the term "gaydar" thrown about for a few years now (there's even a quiz on a dating site which can supposedly test how strong yours is...) and it's become such a peculiar word. If someone claims they have a "gaydar", they're suggesting they have some inner ability to know who else is homosexual, without even asking the person in question. I don't believe in such a thing myself (and even when I try to guess a person's sexuality I fail miserably usually), but wouldn't it be spectacular if we really could look at people and instantly know one aspect of their lives?
If you had the opportunity to use some kind of device to instantly discover one thing about every person (e.g. their sexual orientation or whether they value friends over family), what would you most like to know?
