I use camtasia studio 8 you can get it as a free trial for a while but then you have to buy it.

If you do pirate then try to use dxtory for recording where you can as it's better quality. That said I think dxtory might be free for non-commercial.

Fraps is free to download, and for region you can use XSplit or Camtasia
