I am very quickly losing patience on this issue after trying to fix it for far too long.

I have an ASUS P8Z77-V motherboard, and plugged into that is the nVidia 660ti.

I have plugged my HDMI cable into the nVidia 660ti and it works a treat, however I want to connect my TV and another screen to my computer using the only two available connections (1 HDMI and 1 VGA) that are both on my motherboard.

Unfortunately the problem is, none of the motherboard output sockets give any output, and it just gives no signal on the TV or screen. This happens whether the first screen is plugged into the 660ti or not. It's not a cable problem, TV or screen problem.

Can anybody think of a solution, I would like to avoid unplugging the card and trying then if possible but if needs be.

+REP all thank you.

Jack!

Have the exact same motherboard as you.

Running a nVidia 550ti, running one monitor via HDMI on the motherboard and one via HDMI on the 550.

If I remember correctly I had the monitor running off the motherboard first, then added the graphics card and then just plugged in the graphics card and another monitor via HDMI and it just worked if I remember correctly..

I may of had to play with the settings though, it was using Windows 7, or possibly in the bios.

Edit: Just had a looked at the 660 specs, and found this;

One Dual Link DVI-I, One Dual Link DVI-D, One HDMI, One DisplayPort

Now.. in theory as Will posted in the other topic, you could do a DVI to VGA/Scart possibly over DVI-I, don't know anything about this myself however.

Thanks for the reply, the solution I am now using is to use the HDMI to HDMI for the TV, the RGB > Dual Link for one screen, and a DP to HDMI for another. Its a pain in the arse but what else can I do :/ +rep
