For the seventh year running Habbox has held the biggest event of the year - the Summer Spectacular. Unfortunately (not for us anyway!), after all the fun people have had over the two weeks it drew to a close on Sunday 25th August. The awards ceremony took place this evening at 20:00 BST.
This years spectacular saw 485 events being held across the two weeks it ran. That includes the events that took place on Habbo, on HabboxLive, forum competitions and other department competitions. A big thank you to everyone who held such events for this years HxSS, you allowed this to happen so well.
The competition was fierce saw a close match between blue and red for the first couple of days before red stormed ahead into the lead. The black team remained in third place for the majority after a fantastic effort to propel them out of last place during the first few days. Whilst green did have a day of glory in third before sadly remaining in last place for the whole of the two weeks.
Oh well... The winner of this year's HxSS are....
The Red Team!
Their dedication throughout the 14 days and the constant achievement of points in all events saw them stay at 1st place with an incredible 3,864 amount of points in front of our second place team. They won a total of 21,705 points! Congratulations to every member of the red team who won this year's Habbox Summer Spectacular.
This years overall team standings are as follows:
1st Place ~ Red Team ~ 21,705 Points
2nd Place ~ Blue Team ~ 17,841 Points
3rd Place ~ Black Team ~ 12,581 Points
4th Place ~ Green Team ~ 8,509 Points

Habbox Summer Spectacular requires a large amount of planning, coordination, effort and dedication, I just want to a thank some of the great people who were involved in making this a success.
A massive thank you to xxMATTGxx and off course Inseriousity. for the initial planning of the event and for their hard work during the event. They made sure that everything went as smoothly as possible as well as dealing with more complaints than they have had cooked dinners this year. Despite leaving us half way through Mike was able to allow for the event to go forward as it did.
Another big thanks goes to every single member of staff who helped run competitions, events and quests for HxSS, without them we would not have been ale to gain points and it just wouldn't have been able to go ahead! So well done to every single department and every staff member for your involvement!
Thank you to: Nick and the Graphics Department for making the forum signatures that were used to show the team score. Because of those everyone was able to show their team dedication and also pretty much find out who had won before we even announced them!
Finally, a big thank you to YOU, the members who attended this years Habbox Summer Spectacular during the 14 days. As without you, there would not have even been a HxSS!
