Can I wash it so it still has the fluffy feeling? I don't want a £50 jacket ruined by the washing machine..

Read how you're supposed to wash it... Should be on the label by the neck.
Might have to watch it seperately on a cold wash or something, like oli said, read the label, it will tell you... I'd have thought it would be on the inside of the jacket lower down though

Like Police said a cold wash:
You can use a washing machine.
Initial water temperature should not exceed 30C or 65 to 85F.
