we've all used public transport im sure the rare times we have actually left our house
i've so many funny/weird/scary stories wbu
me and my friends were like 14 getting the bus home and it was full so had to stand on the bottom beside the driver and there was this girl and her bf and then this down syndrome man who kept slapping her in the face and nobody could move so her and her bf were just stuck there and they couldn't really do anything to the guy and she was just crying
then this other time we were on the bus and this woman was running to hop in but the doors were closing and her head got stuck and the drive started to drive with her head stuck and it was rly sad cos she just dragged along like a doll and she dropped all her shopping bags and she was like 50 and an ambulance had 2 come
then this other time someone got sick and sick and sick on the top deck on our way 2 school and everytime the bus turned a corner the sick would glide down the aisle and every1 had to lift their bags and feet up so as not to get sick on them and it was a horrible time
then on the tube once a lady sat on my lap
i was getting bus home from school once and went upstairs and there was a junkie giving another junkie a ******* on full view to everyone. they smoked some hash after it

I don't have any that invlved me, but once there was this guy that got on the bus, we were on the top deck. He was acting really suspicious, constantly checking his watch and being really agigtated - I honestly thought he was going to stab someone.
He'd sat next to this teenage girl as everyone was on their way home from school (I was coming back from Uni), and they were on the front seats, and he put his legsup on the window and just spread his legs apart - he was just really really strange. I was opposite them on the other front seats and I felt horrid. Basically he was getting worse and worse with how he was acting and I'm pretty sure he started rocking in his seat.
Anyway, these two girls sitting behind them rescued the other girl by pretending they were her friends and saying that they were getting off at this stop instead, luckily she caught on and went along with it. I also moved down to the bottom deck for the last few stops...
I also have some guy that has mental issues that gets on my bus, and he says 'Ian Beale' out loud a lot, I feel bad for him because a lot of the kids just take the piss out of him, and it's not nice really.

I was on the Luas (tram in dublin) a few years ago, and was in a section full of teenagers and university students. Then the ticket inspector came on and literally everbody in that section tried to get off. Even the few adults there tried to get off. The ticket inspector just stood there not knowing what to do.
Last time I was in Paris I used the metro a lot. One afternoon when I was going to the alliance français I got into a metro train carriage where everybody was dancing and shouting. Probably the most traumatic subway ride I ever had.

i have witnessed a lot of black girl fights during rush hour after school
one sad story is the bus suddenly breaked and a woman's pram with a baby which was no more than 3 months fell over and the baby fell out of it and flew down the aisle it was horrible luckily it was unharmed!
i have never got the bus enough to see anything interesting :(
I used to take the bus to school. Schools here are segregated usually and mine is a Protestant one but you had to go through the Catholic part of the town. One day on the way home, these young people started throwing bricks at the bus and attacking us. The window beside me smashed and my friends face was all cut with glass. It was scary :( and usually I sat where she was so could of been me.
I used to get the last train home a lot, so you get all sorts on them. Near Christmas literally the whole train started singing Christmas carols lmao. It was hilarious.

Setting off a stink bomb on a train in an underground station is as funny as it gets with me. Along with the countless drunks, druggies and crazy people who have boarded the bus over the years. :P

The funniest story on a more personal level is when this fat ginger woman slipped over. She's known around these parts for being a right pain in the arse (pardon the pun) by being loud and having loud and annoying children of which one thought it was funny to hide her sock in my hood.
Another time there was a drunk girl and a girl who I assumed was basically picking her up. This wouldn't have been so bad if it wasn't mid-afternoon. Can't remember much beyond that and I feel like I have loads more to say but I can't for the life of me remember what.

One time before my nanny passed away we used to go shopping at the weekend a bit. We got on the bus from Wakefield that went through Featherstone, but the driver didn't give her enough time to sit down so she fell backwards onto the floor. The next day we went again and we had the same driver, so I said maybe he will wait for you today.
This isn't really public transport, but when we were setting off to London there was this man in the coach station trying to go to sleep, but the security guard told him he couldn't sleep in here. Anyway, he then started talking to me, my sister, my boyfriend and my dad telling us to guess his eye colour and telling my sister to say my eye colour, talking about my dad and boyfriend's footwear and stuff like that. He was on about how he was homeless, but could go in a house or something. It was pretty scary to say it was about 4:30 in the morning.
When I was in Blackpool we went on an open topped bus to go to Blackpool Zoo and there were loads of trees and acorns were on them and one went and hit me in my mouth.
Ok this happened on A-level results day a few weeks ago. Had a minibus up to where we were going for a night out and that was all fine, but on the way back we caught a train. I was with a few boys I was good mates with in school but don't see them very much anymore. Got into their group because group tickets are so much cheaper. Anyway we where being proper loud and some black women with kids (at like 5am :S) was trying to tell us to be quite. So a few of the lads got a bit offended filled with alcohol and started hurling racial abuse at her. Got to point out that i'm not really racist and didn't participate in this.
After like 20 minutes the security guard come around and witnessed us arguing and called the police. The driver + guard chucked us all off 45 minutes away from home where there was police and arrested 3 of the lads and let the rest of us go. This was like 6am now nowhere near home with hardly any money not having a clue where we actually were. Ended up 8 of us walking around trying to find a taxi that wouldn't want up front money, so we could do a runner when we got back. Which was never happening anyway.
So we had to walk 20 miles to the next train station to wait another hour for the next train. Got in at 10am, found out later that the lads got a cell overnight, £80 fine and a court hearing which is soon actually.
In northern Ireland, schools are mainly segregated and mine was a protestant one in a catholic area. One day on th way hom, these idiots attacked our bus by throwing bricks and stuff. The window smashed beside me and my friends face was all cut open with glass. Was scary :( and I usually sat where she was so could of been me!
Loads of funny stories from the train. My friend once went to the toilet on the last train home and didn't lock it properly when it was packed and my other friend pressed the button and it opened while she was sat on the loo hahahah and also this other time on the last train home when everyone started singing christmas songs. lmaoo

me and my friend were off to go see a band called of mice & men last october so we got the train to manchester and there was a group of 18ish year old boys who were already drunk, one of the boys threw up all over himself and the floor of the train so one of his friends began to talk to me and my friend trying to apologise for what had just happened and he began talking to us about what we were going to do in manchester and when we explained he insisted that we were going to see the play of mice & men, not the band.
another time when i was in year 7 (age 11/12) i got the bus home from school and the bus was absolutely packed with people so the only seats left when me and my friend got on the bus were next to this old man, when we sat down he kept singing songs like ding dong the wicked witch is dead and nursery rhymes to us and telling really bad jokes. he was really creepy and i was really scared of him.

mine is not as great as some here but one day I was training it home from uni and usually I have to wait 20 mins at this place called Epping for a transfer train but this day the train before was late so I didn't have to wait (usually when I wait I go use the bathroom and buy food cause the trains like an hour) so got on the train and then realised I needed to pee!! Anyway finally found the toilet room thing and clicked the button to slide open the door and there were like 5 guys with their clothes off omg, I was like UMMMMMMMM *hits close button and walks away*

I was there when this happened but must have been looking away because my friend said this happened but I don't remember, but there was this kid, I think about 13, eating a McDonald's soft serve, and this drunk guy was watching him eat it, and then just put his finger right through the ice cream to get some. The kid was like 'oh um here you can have it' and the drunk guy was like 'nah' and walked away while the poor kid was stuck holding this ice cream which probably had loads of diseases in it now.
And once there was this guy on the train who was making all of the sounds that the train made. He was saying the announcements ("the next station is, whatever" or "now arriving at, whatever") and also imitating the sounds of the train moving, doors closing it was really weird.
Inseriousity.

On the train to uni, an old guy started talking to this other old guy bout how the country was going to the dogs, including a long rant about university students being lazy layabouts. was a very uncomfortable train ride and if it was any longer I'd have probably started an argument with him and got on my soapbox.

i didn't know where the bus was going and all i was told directions but i didnt understand them but anyway, after a few mins i panicked and pressed the button thinking i was in the place i was meant to be, but i got off because i would of felt really bad pressing the button and not getting off, and it turns out i didn't even know where i was.
ive held up traffic cause i managed to not get the right amount of money before hand (i thought it was cheaper :() and no one would drive around the bus and after get all the money out i forgot to take my ticket.
i honestly hate buses.

Last year when the bus from the bus station was on diversion, so he had to go away from my college a bit before going towards it. So at the bus station, everyone got on the bus and it was packed, and then there was someone running for the bus - he got on. As we get on to the roundabout on the diversion he throws up on the bus (the one who ran) and then we all had to get off and walk from there (longer than walking from the bus station) :(.
I've also seen a few times where people have kind of fallen down the stairs, or you see someone go down and then you just hear a bang and you know they've fallen but you can't help but laugh.
This one time, I was on the bus with one of my friends and this woman on the bus started singing nursery rhymes. And similarly another time, some guy had earphones in but he was singing (badly) along to the music, probably without realising lool.
it's not even that funny but i was legit crying of laughter bc this man (not old or anything) pretended to be blind and got 2 teenagers to stand up so he could sit and they went to a different carriage and then he started reading and i was just i couldn't breATHE
