It feels like I've been waiting forever to make this thread omg! Rightio! Today is a very special day indeed! 18 years ago today, a special star was born. 18 years ago something magical happened (lets not get into the details ew), but basically a young man called Alex arrived into this world and this has been to the massive advantage of all those who have grown up to know him, talk to him and be lucky enough to call him their friend! Alex is honestly one of the nicest, most genuine, talented, kind hearted people I've ever spoken to, there is not a single bad bone in his body and I've never known someone to just be as nice as him. Working with Alex at Habbox is always a treat, his initiatives and dedication have seen the events department really turn around and everything he does he puts 100% effort into which is to the benefit of everyone.
Alex cares deeply about what he does and how he does it, and this really reflects on his determination and passion for doing the best he can do. Even in the past year, its amazing how much Alex has grown up with Habbox, how he has found strength in himself, how he has matured into one of the best managers I've ever known. Thanks to Habbox and the Events Department, I've also got to know Alex rather well outside of Habbox, everything from his work to his hobbies to some of the incredibly funny things he comes out with. I've made more than a work colleague, I've made a true friend, and I'm sure lots of other people will be lucky enough to say the same thing!
I am so excited to be able to wish Alex a truly happy 18th Birthday, a day that he will remember for the rest of his life, and an important milestone in his road to becoming a man! (or woman if you have seen the picture of him in a dress as a child - sorry Alex!) Happy Birthday Alex, I hope you have the best day ever, enjoy your party, enjoy your cake and enjoy legally ordering stuff from tesco without having to have an over 18 to sign for it!!!!! :P I knew that a lot of people would have some amazing memories of Alex, and some lovely things to say, so here are a few of them!

I remember when you first joined events as a trialist and you were so quiet and innocent, haha what happened? We always said we were going to host a double event but we never did (we still need to!)
Another thing I remember is when you told me you got drunk on new years eve and woke up wrapped in Christmas lights :P

One of my memories is of a time when Alex was home alone and he got really scared and was screaming at the top of his lungs for people to get out of his house. Hey Alex I've known you for nearly a year now and it really has flown. When I first met you I never thought we'd get along very well, but there I was about 9 months later in Cardiff being punched in my sleep by you. My favourite memories of Alex are seeing how dedicated he is to his job often in a totally over the top way, constantly fussing and worrying about small details that matter very little or which he has no control but he cares so much that he does it anyway and it's very endearing. It's also really funny watching him get really passionate about something. If we hadn't forced him out (sorry Alex!) of the lego store he'd probably still be there! When Alex was walking me to the train station from the travelodge and we were using the lifts and changing all the traffic lights with our sonic screwdrivers! Also, the morning I arrived and it was like 6am and we were walking around Cardiff Bay. Also can't forget the WHOLE HOUR he spent in the Lego Store in Cardiff Central. When I returned to Habbox, I was told all about Alex, found out that we had so much in common. We got talking almost instantly and bonded straight away. I'm so glad you're my friend Alex and I feel lucky to have met such a great person and I hope I can see you again someday soon :)

i remember when me and mathew first offered smurfy a trial in events and i'm super glad that we did, he was probably one of the most dedicated trialists and still one of the most dedicated members of staff active on habbox at the mo. i think without events he definitely wouldn't have got involved with the community as much as he does now and obviously wouldn't have some great people (aka me) haha but in all seriousness i think he's a really nice guy who's easy to speak to and neverrr fails to make me laugh. happy birthday smurfy! Where on earth do I begin? I have so many amazing memories of you Alex, a lot of them based on some of our wonderful and crazy skype chats, a lot through working with you in events, but so many of them are from the time I was lucky enough to meet you in Cardiff this year! I remember being super nervous about meeting you, but as soon as I saw you it was like I'd known you forever and everything felt so easy! I remember eating pizza at 5am in the morning and annoying the poor travelodge staff member who was trying to prepare breakfast. I remember you being like some crazed kid looking for the lego store and us asking the travel information place where it was. I remember you spending hours building your little lego men in the lego store, the fact that you wanted them to be so perfect and every little detail to be right was just so cute. I remember playing monopoly with you on the ipad in the hotel room, I remember everyone being on their laptops (Habbox addicts!!), I remember you being stood in front of the mirror for ages making sure your hair was just how you wanted it and stuff, and planning out your outfits for each day!! I remember thrashing you at bowling wooo. On the very first night in Cardiff we had to walk all the way from Cardiff bay to Cardiff central to pick Phil up from the bus station, and I remember it being 3am, and we both got a little bit scared (especially when we heard that drunk tramp in the bush haha), but knowing I was with you there made me feel safe and it was just so surreal, peaceful and amazing to be walking through a big city at 3am in the morning with my best friend, something I shall never forget haha. I'll also never forget my goodbye hug as you and Phil walked me back to the train station to go home. Trying to trick me into a handshake pfft! It was my first ever hug so thanks haha! I remember you attempting to cook spaghetti bolognese on your own and failing dramatically! I remember you singing 'I dreamed a dream' in your squeaky singing voice on skype over and over and over again, and I remember you trying on my glasses in cardiff and pretending to be cool pfft! I want to take this opportunity to thank you for putting up with me, thank you for being such an amazing friend and for just being you! Enjoy your birthday and don't get too drunk haha! ~ Bolt660

I remember you being like some crazed kid looking for the lego store and us asking the travel information place where it was. I remember you spending hours building your little lego men in the lego store, the fact that you wanted them to be so perfect and every little detail to be right was just so cute. I remember playing monopoly with you on the ipad in the hotel room, I remember everyone being on their laptops (Habbox addicts!!), I remember you being stood in front of the mirror for ages making sure your hair was just how you wanted it and stuff, and planning out your outfits for each day!! I remember thrashing you at bowling wooo. On the very first night in Cardiff we had to walk all the way from Cardiff bay to Cardiff central to pick Phil up from the bus station, and I remember it being 3am, and we both got a little bit scared (especially when we heard that drunk tramp in the bush haha), but knowing I was with you there made me feel safe and it was just so surreal, peaceful and amazing to be walking through a big city at 3am in the morning with my best friend, something I shall never forget haha. I'll also never forget my goodbye hug as you and Phil walked me back to the train station to go home. Trying to trick me into a handshake pfft! It was my first ever hug so thanks haha! I remember you attempting to cook spaghetti bolognese on your own and failing dramatically! I remember you singing 'I dreamed a dream' in your squeaky singing voice on skype over and over and over again, and I remember you trying on my glasses in cardiff and pretending to be cool pfft!
