Sneeze when thinking of something sexy

Ok, so this is probably going to sound really weird.

Often when i think of something sexy/erotic i sneeze, sometimes twice. It never happens in public though for some reason (i'e if i'm with a girl that i'm sexually attracted to), only happens when i'm on my own . Funny thing is i only sneeze when i get the thought for the first time in a particular day, never again afterwards until another day. I always meant to ask others about it but i usualy forget.

Does anybody else get this?

I don't think i'm alergic to sex lol. I've never sneezed when i'm actualy physically with a girl, only when nobody is around. Strange i know.

This is a very common occurrence, and has a very easy answer:

Although it might be gross to think about, your genitals are made up of mucuous membrane (meaning soft, delicate tissue that is kept lubricated by means of mucous)- the same mucous membrane that lines, for examples, the insides of your nostrils and your nasal cavity. The part of your brain that controls when to secrete more or less mucous to these membranes doesn't distinguish between your nose or your genitals, so when you have more in one, you'll have more in another. Usually it's not a problem . . . except when it comes to arousal. You get turned on, and your brain gives the signal to your body to produce more lubrication (i.e. mucous). All your mucuous membranes start lubricating- including your nasal passages. This essentially starts the flow of snot.

Some people sneeze because of it, others just find that they get a runny-ish nose (that would be my experience), and a good deal of people don't find much of a difference (either because they just don't, or because they naturally don't produce very much lubrication anyways). It's the same reason why many women complain of vaginal dryness when they take medication meant to dry up their noses.
It also makes sense that you sneeze only at the beginning, but not afterwards, even if you keep on having erotic thoughts, because the nature of arousal and lubrication is that it only comes once- so you don't continuously keep producing lubrication, but kind of have it all in "one shot".

As for it not happening in public or busy doing other things, I'd chalk it up to your not getting aroused enough to lubricate- you're self-conscious (in public) or otherwise mentally occupied, so while you have the erotic thought, it's not intense enough for your brain to send the message to your body that it should prepare itself for sexual intercourse.

So yeah, you're completely normal. Hope that helps clear things up!
