As you may know the exploit got patched, with all your information being leaked.
Well habbo's new clearasil comp:
http://www.habbo.com/articles/2968-privacy-policy-habbo-clearasil-competition

Allows you to change your D.o.b to your account, which ties in with the exploit.

Simply send a ticket to customer support via https://help.habo.com/requests/new/ and request to update your account information.

Hope this eases things.

Lmao don't understand that article? Ain't been following the clearasil thing :S
And sounds good that you can change the dob but it needs to be done through the site like how you change your email. How long before the help tool is hacked again. I ain't used it for over a year and don't really want to. lol

I read the article but I don't know if I'm misreading or misunderstanding something but it doesn't mention DOB?

Thanks for sharing though

I do agree with this, as i refuse to send tickets on via my safety's etc but habbo have disabled my accounts being transferred to new emails via customer support, didn't even have to request it so i'm sure all you have to do is ask for them to make it manual e-mail change to your account only and it won't matter what previous info they have :)

Yer it means a help tool ticket verifying you are the owner, they may ask for extra identity proof.
And yes we need our real dob as we get a real prize but it's mainly for australians the prize is in this:

Might do this when I go on. I believe I remember my other DOB I put on anyway.

I think that's just something they put in all competitions??? Are you sure as in has powertoo or someone confirmed you're going to be able to change your DOB due to this competition?

Daltron

They havn't even contacted me about sending out my prize from the other comp. Powertoo is ignoring my questions about it.. -.-

Might have to send a help ticket asking me where my email is requesting where to send everything. But I heard they do this with a lot of real life prizes (ignore users and don't actually send anything)

uhm well that's what i thought until it says it's to update your account information to make it correct, because technically you are allowed to as the data comissioner handles all the data, and if it's false data it's kinda uhm illegal. So if you put a mistake upon your registration all you got to do is tell customer support the mistake and update it, right?
I'll get powertoo to confirm this if you'd like, as i'm sure we all want to be protected -.-

Can't Habbo get into huge trouble for leaking our info?

If some users would like to stop customer support moving your account via customer support, do what i've done in this screen shot.

I don't know this might help but that time I won this nokia phone in my hacked account (during the nokia promotions), they contacted me right after my name was announced. :) Pretty helpful that girl, idk if shes working anymore.

Keep bugging them for it, I'd say.

WaltzMatilda is very busy on the help tool today.

Anyway, I wouldn't post your own personal tickets because again they can be used as 'proof' to 'reclaim' an account.

So what are you suppost to say to them? To request no changes on the email side of your account?

ooo you should link them the policy then they should do it, just going to get powertoo to confirm it when i next speak to her.
Do what i did in my ticket thought it'll help protect it as they could just target it later xD

Tell them you'd like to request that customer support make no email changes to your account or email address. As you would like to make it so it's done only via manual email change.

Two things that might interest people:

1) This competition is in no way related to being able to change your DOB.

2) If you ask them to stop email changes on your account via help tool you will not be able to retrieve your account if you're hacked. So use it wisely.

Confirmed by staff as seen in below spoiler.

Wow I am surprised the replies to the helptool have been answered quickly recently. Also I'm surprised that the responses are meaningful and not generic ones from a list chosen by the customer service person.

New code:

talent.progress.emailchange.enabled=false

Seems like the new step on the talent track is changing your email :P

Hello,

Thanks for contacting Habbo.
We can't change the date of birthday for you, but you account was not one of the ones that was targeted.
Best,
Kate
Customer Support - http://www.habbo.com

I know it's been established that you can't change your DOB by this competition but that's the reply I got. She made it sound like only particular accounts were targeted and that she even confirmed mine wasn't one those accounts. Interesting.

She didn't say my account was not targeted just gave me other advice about how to secure my account and added a note for me informing all Customer Support agents not to change email on my account via help tool. I guess I can take from this that my account was targeted. Although, I don't see how and consequently don't think they know which accounts were.
