What do you think? Have you ditched your BlackBerry for an iPhone? Now's your chance to get back into the BBM vibe! What do you think? Will you be getting it?

Never had a BlackBerry in my life. Will be interesting but considering BlackBerry are cutting their staff by 40% I do wonder how much life they left in the company it self.

well most of my friends have iphones etc and I still have a BB so will be useful
this is their last dying breath
I've never had a blackberry or used BBM but I guess this will be a positive thing for most 13 year olds

I don't get how BBM on other os's will help Blackberry considering they are giving it away for free. BBM used to be the one thing people said made them unique and now they are offering it on other phones it just sounds like corporate suicide for them. I wonder if it will eventually stop running as surely it must cost them to run and if their profits are really bad then I can't see it lasting

This would have been a fantastic move about three years ago, now it's just pointless. WhatsApp, Kik and even plain old Facebook Messenger all do what BBM does and have done longer (cross platform messaging, not just on one OS) than BBM, so why would anyone switch. BlackBerry are definitely on their last legs, they were great while they lasted but they couldn't keep up.

Never had a Blackberry, nor do I intend to get one. Like others have said they don't really have anything unique about them anymore, so what's the point?
Too little, too late unfortunately. It's a real shame as their new phones are actually pretty good in my opinion, but again it comes down to the brand which has been thrown into the bargain bin in favour of names like Apple, Samsung, Motorola, Nokia and LG.

It's just another free messaging app, there's never been anything special about it and there never will be; no I will not be downloading the app.

I have them both on the go.. I like the email on the Blackberry so I have just a data plan on it and I use my iPhone 5 for everything else.
