My girlfriends brother builds computers occasionally and mine is getting old but don't really have the time to mess about plus I'm not that experienced in building them, more in using them. He's given me some prices for a few builds and wondering if this one sounds good price wise:
INTEL i7 3770 QUAD CORE CPU RUNNING AT 3.4 GHZ3.4GHZ x 8 THREADS TOTAL OF 27.2 GHZ OF CPUPOWER8 GIG DDR 3 MEMORY 1333 MHZVTX3D Radeon HD 7730 2GB DDR3 PCI Express Graphics Card£530
I'd say that's about right but that graphics card is **** and the CPU is unecessary
That CPU is like £240, you can get a solid i5 for like £130, use the money you save to buy a better graphics card and it'll be worth it
make sure he doesnt skimp out on parts, get reliable ram and a solid psu

I wouldn't mind an i7 mainly because of video editing, broadcasting and wanting something that will last a while. What graphics card would you recommend. I want something that will last a bit I'm not gaming that much these days but do have games like crysis 1 & 2 etc

650ti is meh, you'd want atleast an amd 7850, and by the sounds of it he's trying to rip you off on the RAM as well, get atleast 1600 mhz

Looking at getting an intel PC rather than AMD. Currently use AMD but prefer intel. What would be a good but affordable build as I don't know anything about parts lol

AMD is probably better.
I can provide a list of specs that would be good, however I really need an idea of what exactly you do? For example if you just use it casually with no gaming a high-end graphics card is highly unnecessary.

Sorry for the late reply. Basically I want a decent computer. I don't need something amazing but I do want something that will last and play new games decently. My maximum spend would probably be around 500

if you're planning to use this rig in a long run then i guess the cpu and mobo is about right, you can easily upgrade the gpu and ram on this one :)
