not that keen on the look, however the search feature will be great.

It's certainly cleaner and better spaced than the one we have now.

Didn't think it was possible for it to look any more dated. I was wrong clearly. Disappointed in their vision. Promised so much, delivered so little.

The search feature will be superb though, just a shame about the aesthetics.

As long as the option to buy in bulk still exists I don't mind this change.

Better than the current catalog, however the classic design was much better. I wish Sulake would stop trying to "improve" what is already good, half the time it fails.

Catalouge isn't really a big part of Habbo its only for buying furniture so I don't really mind lol. If I was to change it, I would brighten it up a bit..

I feel Habbo is becoming too complex. It was really easy to navigate before the merge but there is just too much going on now. Not a fan.

Oh dear - It looks absolutely horrendous.

It looks easier to navigate, I don't like the ugly bulky rounded off text or borders, it's starting to not look like habbo anymore.

I imagine the headers will change in all due course, as at the moment all the images are being stretched to the appropriate header size.

I think you're spot on with this. And this is why Sulake will struggle to keep new users interested in the future.

Sigh... I guess this means the old catalogue images of habbos e.g. on lodge and that are going to be removed...

Looks modern so I don't get why people are saying it's dated. Only thing I hate is that it's too white.

Hate it as BETA UI is the worst, better layout but they should stop pissing about with such a terrible UI.

Probably comparing it to how an Illumina or HITCH UI would look like. I see your point though it isn't that dated the colour scheme is just horrible.

why can't they make something better... this just looks like someone pissed on it

Looks better than the current one (assuming it is the same one as it has been for a few months?

I reckon a W8 style would look sweet, though ;)

It doesn't look too bad to me, it does seem a bit dark overall though, I thought they were going towards making everything lighter in their design now?

tbh it looks a mess now i wish habbo would be like if it broken why change it...

I really do not like it. What's wrong with the catalogue we've already got?

Yupt

I don't get what everyone is complaining about, I think this is much better, looks easier to navigate and find what you need. Don't think it looks "old" either, this is just habbos style and because its not plain, boring and white like what is considered "new" doesn't mean its bad lol.

Lewis

Can anyone find the really old catalogue that was used... Ah, I don't know the year. Maybe 2002? It looked so good.

The old catalogue looks aesthetically much better than the proposed one. It was straightforward and easy to navigate, with no gimmicky graphics.

I second that.

Exactly! I love the simplicity of it.

I doubt they would go back to it though. There's so many furni lines, you'd be scrolling through them for ages just to find what you wanted.

They could make main sections like the current ones with an arrow, then it opens sub ones. And it'd still look as good.

Cosmic

That's true. I wouldn't mind seeing something like that.

I do miss having furni icons on tabs though.

Someone should really send that to the staff who's currently designing everything. Didn't he make an account on this?

It's a bit too Windows 95-y for my taste, but I can definitely get where they're coming from; the staff is shooting for a more classical look, whereas my goal was always modernization. I can appreciate the strategy, even if I'm not a huge fan of their chosen treatment.

Would've been fun to see something completely different, like a drawer design.

---------- Post added 25-10-2013 at 05:22 AM ----------

I'll say this, though; it definitely looks like they're improving the usability of the catalogue, which should always be the primary goal anyway.

ur out of ur mind if u think that old 1 at the top of the last page looks better than the proposed 1 in the OP

I really wish illumina came. It looked amazing, the new one to come looks good - but it won't beat yours (i think it was yours lol) in my own opinion.

I think what I want to see is a modernized 'old habbo'... I don't know if that makes much sense, but I know what I mean :P

I have a feeling they're putting the whole hotel in this style just to easily change it over to a new style sometime next year. We'll have to wait and see.. Who remembers the change looks style that swiftly disappeared? I wonder why;)

I don't like it at all tbh, and if it wasn't for the addition of a search feature then it wouldn't be any better than the current one imo.

Basically it walks you to where you've actually clicked, rather than underneath or near the bottom, see link below.
