ATH-M50 by Audio Technica for the low end of your budget range (Around £120 iirc), some others on the forum recommend shure for higher amounts but I don't personally have experience with the brand.

I have these, and they are amazing studio quality headphones.
Comfortable to wear, and not overly priced.

These are probably not for street wear, but they are great for studio styled use.
What are you planning on using them for? Shure have amazing mid range with a decent low range sound.

I have the same ones!

I love them, using them right now :P Sound quality it great.

I actually find they get quite uncomfortable quite quickly (after maybe an hour or two of wearing they get uncomfortable, maybe that's normal with headphones like these but I don't know!)

Yeah depends on your head shape really.

I don't find them getting uncomfortable easily.
I have long gaming sessions (24 Hour LAN's) where I have had these on the whole time and not had an issue. Althought this is not a gaming headset by any means, I certainly use it for all things on my PC since I have my Xonar Essence STX Sound Card now.
