Weird Food

Just talking to Emily; about this and thought it would be quite interesting!

Are there any foods that you think are LOVELY but other people think are weird? Or the other way round; that other people love but you find really weird?

Personally I hate Twinkies (which is how the original conversation started) but love Brussel Sprouts, which most other people seem to think are horrible!

Quite a salty meat (which, incidentally is why lions like zebra over other game!) Apparently it isn't all that different from horse, but having never eaten horse I cannot confirm that! Kudu is the nicest meat I've ever had, but isn't really "weird", as no one knows what kudu is to start with :L

Kudu is like giant antelope, really beautiful but oh-so-tasty. National animal of Namibia, but there is a global shortage hence why it is so hard to find in the UK.

I remember I got it for lunch once in my school canteen (wasn't the best) and everyone was saying ew gross, but I just said try it :D

Don't have packed lunch haha xD If I was gonna buy any food at school I'd buy a cooked meal or a pasta pot maybe
My mum has learnt not to make me Sunday dinners anyway, so that's not a problem :3

The latter is a little weird, I won't eat ham and cheese together if it's hot, same with bacon with cheese. However, I love Chicken BLC (bacon, lettuce and cheese) from McDonalds, but I guess that's because McDonald's food isn't really hot lmao.

I like Kangaroo xxMATTGxx; I had it at York's International Festival thing.
I favour packet mashed potato over normal mash, people think I'm weird for that.

I don't like things like chocolate ice cream or milkshake, my boyfriend thinks I'm weird for that too.

I like cucumbers tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower and sprouts though :D. Don't like sweetcorn, I can withstand it if it's in a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich though.

I can also eat green peppers raw, they're delicious, well any peppers, but I prefer green.

Well before this year I didn't like cookies, brownies, muffins etc. but now when I go to Subway I must have a double chocolate chip cookie, I like cakes and stuff - I've grown ok :(, well not in height.

Another thing, I like flapjacks if they're made from cornflakes, but I don't really like proper ones lmao. I also hate bran I literally can't stand the smell. Also, my mum makes a ginger carrot cake out of bran and it smells vile I literally have to stay out of the room.

Durian? I think it's one of those fruits that have an acquired taste. I know a lot of people complain about the smell and how pungent it is, but I think it's absolutely fragrant.
Oh when I used to purchase chips after school at the kiosk, I would add soysauce, chicken salt and tomato sauce onto it, and it would drive everyone away from asking me for some chips. I loved that combination..
