Quite a few SEGA and Nintendo games have good songs. The NiGHTS series is good for orchestral music, and for some reason they created an entire power ballad which first appeared in Nights Into Dreams and then modernised in the latest installment.

Reach for the Stars isn't necessarily a personal favourite but it's pretty good. The game isn't great but Sonic is a terrible series these days.

I was about to say something like 'How is this possible?', but the keyboardist for this band composed music for Sonic 3 :) Very catchy though :)

And wow, this was actually discovered for the first time a few days ago! Impressive that info still comes out some 20 or so years after these games came out :)

Reach for the Stars isn't necessarily a personal favourite but it's pretty good. The game isn't great but Sonic is a terrible series these days.

I quite enjoyed Generations and Lost World looks decent.

I feel like the black mesa soundtracks is actually one of the best game soundtracks out there.

for me definitely my favourite probably comes from Majora's mask, though zelda music is fabulous in general really.
