Hello,

Yeah not a fan of television normally but since we've all been living in house together in university we've been watching Pointless and I reckon it's rather good - for those who don't know it's not like a normal quiz game... you have to pick the answer you think less people will have said in a survey. Sort of like Family Fortunes.

And yeah Eggheads is good too.

Anyone a fan?

I hate the eggheads - used to like it but then it just turned into a bunch of know-it-alls lording it over the poor contestants week after week.

but Pointless, omg I love that show. SO love that show. So much.

I love both of them :D I must say I excel at pointless when it's a Formula 1 round, and most of the time elements, but there's other rounds that would leave me clueless - I guess that's the fun of it :)

Eggheads is also great. And I wouldn't say they're poor contestants, I mean, I would call people on the chase poor contestants, they're just ordinary people. At least on eggheads you have a team of people you know that do quizzes all the time :P And they did apply in the first place :)

I try and time my gym sessions to be on when Pointless is on so I can watch it whilst on the treadmill ;l Richard and Xander make the show - I read an excellent interview with Richard in the Telegraph a couple of weeks back, turns out before the show he was never meant to be an executive-producer or something. Here's a quote from the "Independent", presumably of the same or similar interview.

What happened was that when Endemol pitched Pointless to the BBC, Osman played the part of the host's assistant – standard industry practice at such an early stage of a programme's development – and was taken aback when, in accepting the show, the BBC said they wanted him to carry on in the role.

My favourite rounds are based on Politics (questions about the last General Election are perfect), and I also love the geography rounds (countries below the equator = perfect). Not very good at a lot of the other round :L

I like stuff like that, Pointless, Perfection, The Chase and Tipping Point (Take on the Twisters when it was on). I love quiz shows, but I'm not the biggest fan of Eggheads - I don't know why though.

Tipping Point is some of the worst TV I have ever watched...

Tipping point is - like Pointless - excellent on a treadmill. Each question takes a fair amount of time seeing the coins fall, which is exactly what I want :L

Having said that, I cannot bear to watch it whilst on a sofa.

The fact is, the show is all about luck. You might be awesome at answering all the questions and still win nothing. Plus it's just so slow and repetitive and just not entertaining at all.

Oh and the contestants on there seem to be from another planet... 'Come on, drop! DROPPPP!' - Watching adults shout at pieces of plastic is not my idea of good TV :P

Oh yeah, it is definitely luck based - reminds me of Habbox Events <3

I absolutely love Pointless! Probably one of the best concepts for a game show I've ever seen. Me and my dad always play along, I've only ever won the final twice though... (Blink-182 songs and Green Day albums)
