Might as well dump it in here since Google tells me almost nothing.
This morning I went and bought the cheapest headset I could find and lets say its not working 100%. I'm looking at getting a better one (maybe) when i get a bit more money. Anyway..
The sound works completely fine but the microphone isn't. I've gone into sounds in the control panel and my in-built is still the default recording device and I'm not sure how to turn that off. The headset mic is also not appearing.
I run Windows 7 and have a Toshiba Satellite laptop.
Though I had the same problem with my old headset when I first got it so I'm not immune to the difficulties haha.
The brand is microsoft by the way
