When do you put your Christmas Tree up?

In my household we usually put it up on December 1st but I know many people who put it up mid November and others just a week before Christmas.

Hell, my local shopping centre put all the decorations up mid October, really cashing in on it all.

When do you put yours up? (Given you celebrate Christmas with a tree)

Think it was random when I lived at home, whenever my mum could be bothered really!! Can't even remember when we put it up last time, I assume mid-December. Worried the dogs might drag it down as its the first time they'll see a Christmas tree I assume.

But my dad likes to be 'traditional' and puts it up 2 weeks before christmas and takes down 2 weeks after christmas.
