So the other day, I was watching a documentary about penguins, and I don't think I quite realised just how many different types there were. Emporer, Adelie, Gentoo and so many more. And it got me wondering... How do they come up with the names for the new species they discover?

So for this competition, I would like you to imagine you have discovered a new species of penguin. What would you call it and Why?

The answer I find most interesting will win.

Prize: 5 credits + 15 rep

My, look at those attractive color. One of the distinct features of this penguin is that they have feathers on their neck that's resembles golden like color. For a human king, they would wear all this gold accessories on them to show how wealthy and rich they are. So a penguin that has a golden like color on them, King Penguin it is. I think..

If I could name a entire species of penguins it would be: Flamoxe This is because its a unique flamboyant name, and because it would be a strong species :P

I would call them Venaces. They would eat only LARGE fish so the name comes from the words hunter and fish (venator and pieces) in latin.
