Hmm, I do hope that's for revision and not for memorising answers if that's your mock paper.

We have calculator papers and non calculator papers.

So in a calculator paper you would have to get 38.3 x 58.6 correct exactly. In a non calculator paper, you'd approximate it and get full marks for doing something like 40 x 60.

You get given commonly used formulae from GCSE onwards, but not all formulae.

In my modern physics test I was expected to calculate upto 6 places of decimals without a calculator.........................why........

Miss told us to look at some exams and I have been since I got in, so I completed that exam and wanted to double check/correct my answers?

Depends on the sort of questions, I mean, foundation kids could get something like:

128 x 365 = 46720.

Calculate without a calculator 0.128 * 3.65 (Answer is 0.4672)

And maybe the top end of kids would have to actually calculate a normal decimal multiplication without any prior help, but nothing to your extent.

But then again, that doesn't surprise me, one of the latest news stories in the UK is how kids in the UK are failing in global tests, ranked 26th in the world.

Okay :) In my schools we got given exam papers and solutions so I guess we never had to search for answers :)
