This thread provides the basic information about how to contend in the forum competition, The HxF Mole 2 hosted by me and Charz777; :)
Firstly, the confirmed 17 contestant are as follows;
-Moniquee.;
CrazyLemurs;
Daltron;
dani12;
Emily;
ihatehash;
Inseriousity.;
Intersocial;
Jordan;
karter;
lawrawrrr;
sex;
Shar;
Tyger;
wixard;
Yuxin;
Zelda;
Now there were originally meant to be 16 contestants, but since we had 17 applications, we accepted everyone. To account for this, 3 people will be executed during the first execution quiz, instead of the usual 2.
Now, one of these 17 people are the Mole. The other 16 contestants do not know the identity of the Mole. It is there objective throughout the competition to work the identity of the Mole out, whilst at the same time taking part in group tasks to win days of VIP to the prize fund.
Starting on Monday, the first 3 tasks will be posted on the forum at midnight. The group then have 24 hours to solve the tasks. After this 24 hours is up, an Execution Quiz will be posted to the forum. This quiz will consist of 15 questions, all of them asking you about the identity of the Mole. The more you know about the Mole, the more correct answers you will achieve. The 2 (or 3 in case of the first Execution Quiz) contestants with the lowest score (therefore the contestants that knew the least about the Mole) will be executed at 10pm and will be out of the competition. Then, after the execution is complete, a new series of tasks will be posted on the following day at midnight. This cycle continues until the final Execution Quiz when we have 4 players.
The schedule for the competition is in the spoiler below:
Monday 9th: Game Round 1
Tuesday 10th: Execution Quiz 1 [17 players down to 14]
Wednesday 11th: Game Round 2
Thursday 12th: Execution Quiz 2 [14 players down to 12]
Friday 13th: Game Round 3
Saturday 14th: Execution Quiz 3 [12 players down to 10]
Sunday 15th: Game Round 4
Monday 16th: Execution Quiz 4 [10 players down to 8]
Tuesday 17th: Game Round 5
Wednesday 18th: Execution Quiz 5 [8 players down to 6]
Thursday 19th: Game Round 6
Friday 20th: Execution Quiz 6 [6 players down to 4]
Saturday 21st: Final Game Round
Sunday 22nd: Final Execution Quiz and Final Results
Now, it's not as simple as it may seems. The Mole of course is going to try and help the group, so they don't look like the Mole. On the other hand, players that are not the Mole will be wanting other players to accuse them of being the Mole - this is because they will score low on the execution quiz, meaning the accused has a better chance of not being eliminated.
To make things even more interesting, certain tasks enable players to win an exemption. This means they are exempt from the next Execution Quiz, and will proceed to the next round. However, players can also win a neutralisation from certain tasks. This essentially cancels out another players exemption.
Any VIP that isn't won during the competition will go into the Mole's prize fund. To win the prize fund, the Mole must remain undetected through the competition. This means they can't be accused during the execution quizzes more than 15 times in total throughout the competition. An accusation consists of a player scoring 8 or more points in a quiz, and accusing the Mole in the final question of each quiz. If you don't understand this part, don't worry - it'll be clear in the final.
So, to clarify. Every other day, 3 tasks will be posted to the group. The information on how to complete the task will be given in the original post in that task's thread. The group must collectively solve each task, sharing whatever information they deem fit (including information sent in private messages). The Mole has to try and stop the group from completing each task (although trying to make such attempts not obvious to the naked eye) and the Mole has all clues, hints and answers to each task to help them. After 24 hours, the tasks close and the results for each task are announced.
After a task day, the Execution Quiz will be posted. Each contestant has until 9pm GMT (so 21 hours) to send in their answers to the Execution Quiz by PM. The lowest scorers will be executed at 10pm, and new tasks for the remaining contestants will be posted at midnight.
If anything is unclear, all questions will be answered in this thread, so feel free to post :)
