After his death shocked Family Guy fans worldwide, it looks like everyone’s favourite talking dog Brian Griffin may be making a return to the American animated sitcom.
The eloquent canine, who had been part of the show since it began in 1999, met his grisly end in an episode entitled Life of Brian, which aired in the US on November 24. In an emotional parting scene, the family baby, Stewie, failed to revive Brian with a time machine when the dog was hit by a car. Viewers watched as Stewie cried "You're not supposed to lose your best friend at my age. You're not supposed to lose him ever!" and gave Brian a proper burial.

Over 120,000 people signed a petition to resurrect Brian, Do you think he'll return?

I'd think it'd be funny if the next episode was just a normal episode with brian in it, no referances to his death at all

I'm sure in past episodes they've made jokes down the road of "oh well who cares what happens in this episode, everything will be back to normal in the next one"

however, I haven't been following family guy for some years

Same can be said for The Simpsons too. I imagine they'll do some dodgey go back in time and get him thing I don't know - don't think they'd kill off a main character after how long it's been running.

I'm fairly certain he'll make a return, the show just wanted to make the headlines to boost ratings

I love the show and I agree with Calum i think in one episode the dog and cat had a fight and the dog nearly died? Not sure.

I don't know what to think. I've seen the death clip but not the episode but I'm just wondering is it a good thing he's coming back? It just seems very odd to kill him off to bring him back, like they've chickened out.

I think it was a ploy for media attention and they got it :P

I thought this all along, that they'd never kill a main character without any justification - and even more so when I saw the actual episode, it was so random... They wanted the viewing figures, and they got them. Nicely done.

"And thus endeth our warm, fuzzy holiday lesson: Never take those you love for granted, for they can be gone in a flash."

"I mean, you didn't really think we'd kill off Brian, did you? Jesus, we'd have to be ******* high."

"Oh and hey... thanks for caring so much about the canine Griffin. He is overcome with gratitude."

Not even watched latest eps, but glad to see he's coming back

He will be back! They'll probably do something like as mention above like time machine or making it so he was driving car...! He will be back no doubt about it!
