Went to my mates place and thought we would have a quick 15 min dip in the pool. 4 hours later we are still swimming then we fell asleep laying in the sun lmao.
Stupid I know, should have put sunscreen on at some point which I did but the damage was already done.
I am not burnt atm but I know it's going to be bad tomorrow, anyone have any tips on how to prevent it getting bad/ what I could do when it is bad? Usually I use aloe vera cream and it's better in a few days but curious if anyone else has tips :P

Only other thing in would suggest other than the aloe vera would be aftersun or try having a cold bath, just to cool down the skin and stop it burning to the bone!
Not a lot of help but hey ho :p

ill ave a cold shower
im so red right now ahhhhh
stick the aloe vera/any other after sun stuff on immediately, keep using it whenever your skin feels dry/warm.
Will at least help slightly speed up the healing process, but there isn't actually much you can do against sun burn if it's coming.

You can't prevent it now, the damage is already done.
You can try and make the pain less severe, but that's just using aftersun products etc.

I agree, deffo aloe vera on damp skin! other than that, leave it be because you might start getting blisters and you don't want to put anything on that. once the redness goes down and if u don't have any aloe vera, try putting on somethin moisturising, without any perfume/fragrance if poss
Cold bath, take the heat out of your skin and use after sun. That usually keeps mine to a minimum

I use an aloe Vera spray when I'm sunburnt (happens a lot thanks Australian summers). It always makes it feel better. Daltron

It's all healed now! I found a good remedy with stuff around the home.
Black tea bags (about 6) mixed in warm water and then patted onto the body and left to dry on its own. Works wonders haha
Put the aloe vera stuff in the fridge. It's nice. :)
Talking about sunburn, only one of my boobs got sunburnt and it's so irritating how it's uneven. :(

As others have said, need to keep the skin wet. I had pretty bad (and I never burn) on holiday in the summer and I just kept covering myself with moisturiser and having a cool bath to soak in. Oh and keeping out of the sun, naturally.
I'd keep shirt off too as that's dry and will irritate your skin.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I was in Florida back in 2012. My advise would be to put aftersun on every day, maybe twicea day
