A 14 year old girl was hiding her pregnancy for 9 months when her water broke she panicked and hid in her bathroom and gave birth to her son on her own. She then strangled the baby boy who was perfectly healthy to his death and hid him in a shoe box. Thoughts on this?

First of all 14 years old having a kid is quite young and at that age they are most likely not mature enough.
Seeing this makes me grossed out. If you want to have sex without protection, take the consequences....the child didn't ask to be born and be killed afterwards!! According to her mum "she wore baggy clothes" because that will conceal a 9 and a half pound baby (that's huge btw) in a skinny 14 year old obv. Also her mum said that she "knew" her daughter was still having periods because she did her washing which is a lovely thought on its own but flat out horrifying when you think this girl must have been purposely bloodying her underwear to fool her mother - whom she'd told she had a miscarriage

yeah cause contraception is 100% effective.. & about '14' is too young, 14 is only too young cause kids are taught to be kids and irresponsible all through their early teens, wasn't always that way, people have been having kids as young as that since the world began and still do in some culture. kids are only immature because they aren't taught responsibility. I think ive had the same mindset and maturity since i was 15, so not far off 14, + could been capable of looking after a child at that age

If you take a group of cells after they've been fertilised and see if they survive on their own in the outside world, they won't. A baby can. That's why people have issues with the current abortion limit in the UK, because babies aborted at 23/24 weeks *can* survive, although with a lot of help.

Early abortions are in no way comparable to a new born baby.

There was a case in America where a newborn was left, and it took him 7 days to die. I'd like to see a group of cells do that, there is clearly a difference between a newly fertilised egg, and a new born baby.

There's also many cases that babies survived 7 days in the Mexico City earthquake... And of course the 7 days weren't enjoyable for the baby, but how is that relevant to the discussion?

I think he was trying to say that after a baby is born, you wrap it in a blanket and hand it to the mother. I can pretty much guarantee if you wrap a ball of cells in a blanket and hand it to its mother it's not going to survive very long :P
