Kill a Pregnant Women or Kill a Group?

A pregnant woman leading a group of people out of a cave on a coast is stuck in the mouth of that cave. In a short time high tide will be upon them, and unless she is unstuck, they will all be drowned except the woman, whose head is out of the cave. Fortunately, (or unfortunately,) someone has with him a stick of dynamite. There seems no way to get the pregnant woman loose without using the dynamite which will inevitably kill her; but if they do not use it everyone will drown. What should they do?

I would save the rest of the people. Even if it was only two other people... they are like going to suffer just as much but no one deserves to die (I guess thats the whole point).

I'd kill the pregnant women.

I'd morally go about it by using Jeremy Benthams modern foundations of Utilitarianism, of the greatest good for the greatest amount.

So obviously killing the pregnant women could see morally acceptable as more people live.

what if the group were murderers and rapists tho n the pregnant woman was an angel carrying Jesus

I'd use the dynamite, dying from an explosion is probably better than dying from drowning

this way you get to save a bunch of peoples and the woman has a quicker death

Well it wouldn't be a good idea to use dynamite in such a small cave. If the hole was small enough for a pregnant woman to get stuck in, it must be a small cave and the dynamite will kill everyone anyway. So I wouldn't kill the pregnant women because wouldn't she just act as a giant plug??!?!
