At least 15 people have been killed and 23 others hurt in a suspected suicide bombing on a trolleybus in the Russian city of Volgograd, officials say.

The blast comes a day after 17 people died in another suicide attack at the central station in the city.

Security has been tightened at railway stations and airports across Russia.

Moscow is concerned militant groups could be ramping up violence in the run-up to the 2014 winter Olympic Games in the city of Sochi.

The Olympic venue is close to Russia's volatile north Caucasus region.

Volgograd lies about 900km (560 miles) south of Moscow, 650km north of the North Caucasus and 700km north-east of Sochi.

Not looking good for Russia at the moment - Two attacks in a very short period of time. R.I.P to those who have died.

RIP to those who died

If the bomber was female it's more likely to be an attack done by Chechen militants

Another blast in Volgograd

Another suspected suicide bombing struck the southern Russian city of Volgograd on Monday, killing at least 14 people and further highlighting Russia's security challenges as it prepares to host the Winter Olympics in less than six weeks.
The explosion hit a trolleybus near a busy market during the morning rush hour, a day after a blast at Volgograd's main (http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/29/world/europe/russia-train-station-explosion/index.html)train station (http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/29/world/europe/russia-train-station-explosion/index.html) killed 17 people (http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/29/world/europe/russia-train-station-explosion/index.html) and wounded at least 35.
Vladmir Markin, a spokesman for the country's federal investigation agency, told the state-run news agency RIA Novosti that both explosions were terrorist attacks.
"This strike, which was cynically planned for the period of preparations for New Year's celebrations, is one more attempt by terrorists to open a domestic front, sow panic and chaos, and trigger religious strife and conflicts in Russian society," said a statement Monday by Russia's Foreign Affairs Ministry.
"We will not back down and will continue our tough and consistent offensive" against terrorists, the ministry's statement said, adding that such an enemy "can only be stopped by joint efforts" involving the international community.

I remember seeing this on the new the other day!

But like the little child says,
Santa when you deliver the presents can't you take away the guns and violence and hide them in the north pole.
It will never happen and violence will still persist till the world ends.
