I probably would yes, I know my Nan had to have one when she was younger, but because my Grandfather was a Jehovah Witness he wouldn't consent it. They were told if she didn't have one she'd die, let's say the doctor pushed him down the stairs and my Nan lived until 2011, so when it really is a matter of life and death I would fully consent to it.

Of course - don't see why you wouldn't if it's between life or death.

I would accept one and I would give one to someone in my family, depending on who. Then again, that sounds a bit harsh. I probably would, but I don't know.
only if it was my mom or sister lol. idk im scared of that ****

I'm not sure how true that bit is, it could have been that he pushed him out the way to make sure my nan got the transfusion. When I say years ago though, I'd say probably about 40-50, a long time. Unless he just made sure my granddad didn't come in the room. I've only met my granddad once though, and that's enough I was about 1 year old - no one really got on with him and he was horrid to my nan, so it wouldn't have surprised me if he got pushed down the stairs.
does anything happen to you if you do?
i would as long as i don't die

If it was a life or death situation then I definitely would without a doubt.

I would but it always depends on what family member it is, i mean i have quite a lot of family i don't see/speak to and don't make an effort to actually talk to me so i wouldn't go out of my way to do anything for them. But yeah if it was someone i really cared for, i would and i wouldn't even have to think about it either.
Sorry that was a badly worded question but what I meant regarding family is would you still accept them if they need and had a blood transfusion? And if you personally needed a blood transfusion would you have one?
There are many religious views that one shouldn't have one.

i not sure i would for giving one actually because i'm really really scared of blood and might not manage to do it easily tbh, but if it was someone special to me i'm sure i'd probably try to at least.
if i needed one to stay alive though then yes i'd certainly take one unless i actually wanted to die or something at the time

confused by some peoples responses... if it was between life and death then sure I would consent to having a blood transfusion.
