Woo the new year is taking place and EastEnders is getting quite interesting. Here are some spoilers.

Johnny is gay and Shirley sees and Nancy tells Mick and Linda and they both are confused on what to do...

The Eastenders storylines seem to be improving, so I'm looking forward to the multiple returnee characters this year.

But I thought Denise and fatboy got it on in the past and it kinda just stopped there?
I hope the story lines this year are better than last year because Eastenders was very boring last year.

Kat is in terrible pain and struggles to get back up after her fall. When Alfie returns home, he is shocked to find Kat in pain and rushes her to the hospital. Alfie is scared as he waits for Kat's results…

Meanwhile, a guilty Nancy regrets revealing Johnny's secret and tries to take it back by claiming that she was lying, which the Carters seem to believe. Johnny also plays his part to 'prove' he is straight with a public display of affection with Whitney. After seeing this, Danny tries to make Johnny uncomfortable.

Later, an apologetic Nancy tells Johnny that he should be honest with their parents about his sexuality. Shirley also offers her support to him. When Mick tells Johnny that he would love him whether he was gay or not, will Johnny reveal the truth to his dad?

Elsewhere, Ian seems to be missing but Lucy and Peter eventually find him at the allotments. Ian tells them that he just wanted time to think, but Peter isn't so sure and makes a mystery phone call for help…

He signed up to play someone who exactly isn't the hardman archetype (he already turned down the Carl role in the summer) and wanted to try a different role for once.
