Have any of you seen Blackfish? It's a documentary about the abuse that happens to the orcas at SeaWorld and how they are confined to a space which they would have to swim up and down in 100,000 times a dayto swim the natural space they would in the wild. It's the equivalent of us in a bath tub. They also develop mental problems and get depressed from boredom. They are starved and only fed for doing tricks. It is heartbreaking how they are ripped and kidnapped from the sea from their mothers and you can see the mothers screaming and all the family doing all they can to help them, looking helplessly. It is awarded the best documentary of the year and many other awards, everyone is watching it including a lot of celebrities. It is very eye opening.

didnt know seaworld was like that like you SEA (haha no okay sorry) videos of the whales doing tricks n stuff
but no i havent seen blackfish before though
the stuff to do with the whales and that looks awful tho aw bless them :(

yeah you should watch the cove, it's actually a really good doc

but it's pretty shocking how many companies, as well as sea world exploit animals etc behind your backs but we stay ignorant to it

watched black fish a long time ago. such a brilliant documentary, everyone should watch it!!! feel guilty for going to seaworld, seems they've lied about so much though and tried to cover it up. glad people are finding out the truth more and more now

Bumping an old thread but didn't want to create a new one about the same thing. I watched this the other day on Netflix and it's made me start thinking differently about Seaworld. As I remember going there in 2005 as a kid and I went to the Killer Whale shows and all sorts.

i watched this bout a week ago aswell and i signed a petition to free tilikum poor whales bless them all they should send them to a sea pen atleast !

then again what about the dolphins and walruses/seals that perform there aswell? no1 ever talks out tht and dolphins r one of the most intelligent animals in the world in like top 5
