Would you rather live in a city or the country?

I'd rather live in city cause i could get anything i need here and i probably couldnt live without the internet, but country could be a good vacation spot or getaway as well

I'm from London and I used to absolutely hate living in a city, so I moved to a really isolated place for University. Thing is I ended up missing the hustle and bustle of the city!

Ideally, I'd like to live in a small town with a short commute to a larger city :)

u do get internet in the countryside yknow lol

probably a big town (over 15,000) near a city? i live in a town of around 4,000 and closest city is about 50 miles away. would like to be closer to a city but not in it because a smaller community is nicer to live in imo

we do have internet out here in the country too :P (aw just saw the post above :p)

I've lived in the country all my life so I dunno if I prefer the city or not. My nearest town is ~15minutes away, nearest 'major' town is ~30mins away and nearest city is ~50mins away. I want to live in london in the future buts thats mostly because of the work I want to go in to!

I like living in the city, always felt well connected and it was easy to go out

but it's the only way I know
maybe living in the country could be interesting

I like living in the countryside. I am really close to the largest town in Cornwall (5 mins) and the closest city is 30 minutes away. Not really that bad to be honest. Much nicer, quieter especially by the beach!

I live in a very small city which I love, so I'm not sure how I would feel about living in the country.

I've lived in the country in the middle of nowhere and I currently live in the city so don't mind either too much. I can't handle too many people which is what bugs me about the city but I enjoy being close to everything. Although, when I get older I'd like to live back in the country, away from everything :) just seems so peaceful to me!!

I live in the capital for uni and in a tiny town for holidays and things and I frankly hate it in the country as there's limited transport here (by limited I mean 2 busses a day..) if you can't drive then you're stuck all summer really and it's not great when the highlight of your town is the smallish supermarket.
I love the city so much and it's not a huge city so I guess it's similar to the place I used to live in England so it's easy to get everywhere on foot and some places on outskirts are a simple bus ride away.

Both have their benefits. I love how friendly people are on the country but I don't like how everyone knows everything about you etc. I like how cities have everything you need; variety of shops, Uni etc. but I don't like waiting in traffic everytime I have to go somewhere. So I would prefer the country but living close to the city (an hour away or so).

I live in a big town (50k) and live 20 minutes from Swansea and 40 minutes from Cardiff. I would prefer to live in a city, but I do like how I live now

I wouldn't want to live further from the city than I am now (25 minutes by train). But living right in the middle of the city would be great.

I was born and raised in a small city, went to university in a small town (which I'd consider to be country, it was surrounded by cow fields), but I think I would like to spend the next 20-25 years in a big city. Although settling down in a country house is something I'd like to do in my 60s.

City

I've lived all my life in the countryside and towns which is cool for older people, not so much young. Hence am moving to London next month.

I wouldn't like living in the country. I like being a short distance from everything! It's nice having lots of night life on your doorstop. Town/city for me.
