graham i know you 100% don't!

and sometimes i would, sometimes i don't
there are things that are just set in stone for me and i tell other people and can hardly comprehend when they don't follow my advice, but then there are things i tell people that i'm like 'what an idiot' but when it comes to me in that situation i'm the exact same as them and wouldn't take my advice either

Yeah because I always give advice as if it was me in their situation although I do remember giving revision tips to someone even though I've never revised before.

Sometimes because I quite often tell people to dance or have a tug or buy me food and those are things I do a lot

This is an interesting thread.

I am always the person that friends come to when they need help or want to talk, but I rarely give personal advice. I just let them talk out what they think acceptable options are, and then let them come to the answer themselves.

I think I'm pretty reasonable and my friends thinks that I am great at making decisions, but I find it very tough to make what should be simple decisions sometimes. So I guess I don't really take my own advice.

It depends what I am giving advice on. To be honest I wish I followed my own advice more haha.

I can't seem to take my own advice, but then again I don't think many people are very good at taking their own advice either. :P

Yes.

Why would you give out advice to other people if you don't believe in it yourself?

Yes.

Why would you give out advice to other people if you don't believe in it yourself?

because it's a lot easier to say something than do it

Because what's good for others isn't always what's good for you

But isn't that what advice is? You telling people what you think is the best solution? If I give advice, I'd put myself in that situation and tell them what I'd do.

No haha, I give them advice because I know it's the best thing they can do, but when I'm in that situation I ignore my advice. I know it's the best thing to do, but it's not exactly the most fun thing to do hehe ;3

just because it's the best solution doesn't mean you're able to carry it out, a persons judgement can be clouded by emotions or feelings such as fear

the best example i can think of us if you have a boyfriend or girlfriend that cheats, everyones quick to say 'you need to break up and move on' but when it happens to them it can be a struggle to follow through

I find it easy to give advice, yet find it hard to take it. Like, I tell myself things and "okay I'm going to do this, I'll do that, I should not do that", etc., yet I never actually do it. I perhaps do it for a day, but then after I've slept, I just stop. I don't know why.

Nope I think about what would best benefit them not just go by what I'd do in the situation - otherwise I'd usually be telling people to lie and weasel their way out of stuff
