I think people are getting confused between the greatest band of all time, and personal favourites.

I'm not a fan of the Beatles, but they're certainly up there. As are the Rolling Stones, Queen, The Who and Pink Floyd. Out of those, I'd say I'm a fan of the Who the most. I'm a fan of Blur and Coldplay as well, but wouldn't say they are the best of all time.

Lmao no I do not believe that (even though the 1D boys are fairly talented), I'm just stating that your reasoning is way out of line and incorrect. You could play twenty instruments to a very basic degree but that wouldn't make you more talented than say an extremely virtuoso vocalist or guitarist, for example.

I'm pretty sure one of 1D plays guitar sometimes at their gigs anyway so what does that make him? John Lennon?

Greatest band would definitely be Queen or The Who (I'm surprised you didn't put 'other' on the poll tbh because you've missed out so many!)

Even though you can dislike One Direction all you like they have definitely done well for themselves and you can't deny their great success so I would say they are a great boyband

In the poll I put:
Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who, One Direction, UB40 and The 1975

Also the only difference between the beginnings of The Beatles and One Direction is the fact that One Direction don't play instruments (although Louis can play piano and Niall can play guitar, which he has been doing recently at concerts and stuff and will most likely be helping the band during the Where We Are Tour seeing as its rock based) because The Beatles gained most of their fans through the pop songs they started off with which actually had pretty crappy lyrics and a repetitive beat. Also The Beatles ended up going in the direction of more rock influenced music which, to be fair, One Direction are starting to do as their latest album is primarily rock influenced pop (Pop Rock).

But yeah I wouldn't say One Direction are the best band of all time but they are one of the best boyband's of all time and that's something that is hard to deny...
