ha! I was just writing about this in my PGCE application how weird.
Yeah I read this book, absolutely love it!
I've only ever seen the film which I loved. I find it hard to read a book after watching the film on it.

I read this before the film, and I loved the book, but the film dragged at first. However, about the book I believe I read it in high school and I'd read it again.

The novel is definitely worth buying, or reading at least. Pop to the library some time and borrow a copy if they have it in.
The characters are portrayed pretty similarly in the film, but not to exact likeness - expected with any transformation.
One of the ones I was asked to read when I was younger. Good book and I've read it again since, it's a nice one if you don't want something overly complicated.
I've read it a couple of times, it's a great book. It's definitely worth reading imo.

Yeah remember studying this in year 7 or 8 but its one of few school books that I've read again and again and would read again now. Would definitely recommend reading it as it's better than the film imo if you don't wanna buy it then as mentioned earlier borrow it from a library :)

When you say the same do you mean like does the same things? The movie if i remember correctly is one of few that actually is very similar to the book so I'm sure the Wardens the samee

Films of crime/punishment/drama genres are always a little long winded, not sure if thats just me. Probably because they have a lot of back story
im getting holes and roots mixed up (read them both in the same year, that would be why), I enjoyed reading holes, and the comment still applies above about the long winded start but it wasn't too bad.
when the lizards are crawling all over them, i nearly cried. that scared. dfiuhjghk
