David Cameron: royal baby 'wonderful news'

Prime Minister David Cameron says he is "absolutely delighted" for Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall, following the birth of their baby daughter

The new mother has headed home from hospital after welcoming her newborn baby daughter into the world.

The silver medal-winning Olympian, who is one of Britain's leading equestrian riders, gave birth to her first child earlier at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with husband, the former England rugby star, Mike Tindall at her side.

The new royal baby, who weighed 7lbs 12oz and is 16th in line to the throne, is the Queen's fourth great grandchild.

The Prime Minister congratulated the couple on their new arrival and said that he was "absolutely delighted" for them.

Congratulations to both. :)

16th in line to the throne, pretty big news but not at the same time as the baby will likely never make it to the throne unless absolutely unusual circumstances were to occur. :P If anybody is interested, here's the line of succession to the throne on wikipedia (the baby has already been added): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Line_of_succession_to_the_British_throne#Line_of_s uccession

Having babies or the line up to the throne? I suppose it means all the children will be the same age, though not very representative of different generations if they all drop at the same time :P

Congrats I suppose. I seem to get bored with royal babies - not too sure why :/

their daughter won't if you're speaking about her having the fathers nose because it wasn't originally like that, he's had it broken few times :P
Zara is the queens granddaughter btw and also won medals for Olympics (she does horse riding)
always rly liked this couple seeing as they both do somethin with their lives & the fact she chose who she wanted to marry despite some family not liking her choice, congrats to them both
