Can a boy hit a girl?

And when I say yes, I mean, if it is okay to hit a boy then it's okay to hit a boy. But generally I'll say no. But if someone says:

"I can hit you because I'm a girl (to boy)"

Then they should except if they get hit

I'd only ever hit someone if they went for me first and I try not to give people any reason to do so! Yeah I would but girls tend to go for the ******** as revenge rather than violent retribution so I doubt it'd happen

Presuming we are talking domestic violence - Domestic violence is wrong both ways you have to ask why did you want to hit the person in question if your at that point you should get out same goes for men if they are being abused and yes it does happen ofcourse its not widely spoken about or accepted as a social norm or generally covered up you need to get out of the relationship.

There's no difference between hitting a guy and a girl if it's for the correct reason. I'd never hit anyone first, unless I had some amazing reason which I cannot think of.

I think Males should only hit females if the female starts it, because what you suppose to do, just stand there and let the female batter you. This would be for self defence obvs. But I do know that most people say that males shouldn't hit females, but as I said before, what you going to do let them batter you.

I don't like the idea that it is unacceptable for males to hit females because it sort of carries an implication that male on male/female on male/female on female hitting is okay.

I think violence and hitting people is totally stupid unless you're acting out of self defence or protecting someone else, obviously. I don't think I will ever understand the mentality that you have to punch someone in the face to make a point.

Also do women, who I'm gonna assume generally believe in gender equality, like being treated as some kind of inferior species to men and thus need special rules to be made for them?

I think it should be ok, seeing a girl can hit a boy but the boy can't hit the girl
but in my school and people i know they go by a 3 hit rule. so once the hits them 3 times they are allowed to hit her back in self defense

It's only ok to hit a girl if they hit you first, and when i say hit, i don't mean a little tap or even a slap or punch on the arm. I mean a proper whack round the face or in your crotch. somewhere that could permanently damage your sight, brain, hearing, or other natural body organs/functions.

I don't think anybody in a relationship should hit the other - domestic violence is wrong.
However, not long ago I saw a YouTube clip where a woman actually beat a man and he got so much **** for hitting her back - granted he did KO her, BUT she was full on hitting him, fists and kicks.

Like others have said if they hit you first then I don't see why you can't hit them back. However, if you have the mindset of oh I'll hit them anyway then that's wrong.

I only feel it is okay under any gender for self-defense.
