Feel like I can finally say it but the events department is definitely definitely on the up. I was in Mk,'s event earlier and said how he was the first manager for a long time who'd actually made me want to come to events. I didn't really think about it at the time but it has actually occurred to me that it's true, thank god. Hats off to general management for finally appointing someone good for the department (only took you a year or so ;)).
Also Mk,; you're one of the first people for a long time who's actually done something for your department rather than because you get a nice shiny title so well done to you. I've actually stolen some of your advertising ideas to use for HxHD that never even occurred to me.
Yeah I've been looking up 'habbox' in the navigator every now and again and pretty much every time there's been an event on it's had 15 people or over in. SO refreshing after months of seeing 2 people milling about in a Habbox Falling Furni complaining about how nobody's coming yet doing nothing whatsoever about it.
I can see that there are still things that have to be improved. For example, despite the number of people you're getting in each event, the number of events per day isn't actually very high at the moment. Particularly weekdays. But I suppose that's gonna have to come with time because you can't just force people to do hours. I guess advertising (like you're doing) is best way forwards because more staff = more hours done?
bet you all thought this was gonna be more typical Habbox Feedback-style negativity, well ha.
Lol he is a great person for the job, and actually cares about the dept. Haven't seen someone this dedicated and motivated since Mathew! Keep up the great job Lewis!

Thanks. :)
I do hope to increase staff numbers soon and hopefully those that can host more during 9:00 to 16:00 (Which I'm guessing is due to school hours).
HXHD IS FLOPPING
NEW LAYOUT NOW

When you were put up as manager I never really knew you so I wasn't sure whether you were right for the job or not but I can say you really are the right person for the job, You're super friendly in all the events and there are more events per day which is great. Well done!
p.s. I think someone should take a screenshot because events don't get good feedback haha which is a shame really :P!
and perhaps work hours :P
Welldone though!
Thanks. :)

It's lovely to see some positive feedback, it's usually negative or non existent!
I completely agree though, the department seems to be doing really well so props to you Lewis :)

Walk into HxHD and no one is there, there's hardly any staff behind the bar and the room is just boring to be in. Nothing personal to you as fansite activity is declining but would prefer there to be some entertainment or whatever in there.

Huge improvements, the biggest problem now seems to be that the majority of contestants are other events staff. Not a problem in a lot of games but in ones with voting it causes issues especially when they gang up... or pair up coughsamandcassiecough and take away the entire competitive point of the event, as well as essentially forcing non-staff/non-friends out of playing events
Yeah must admit, events is coming up big time! I know there's not as many events but I understand there's a staffing problem and that Lewis is doing all he can to fix that problem, it'll just take time (or a school holiday :P). Not to sure about what's been said about most people in the events being other hosts. I've been in a few events lately where I hardly knew anyone! OldLoveSong; had an event the other day and the room had 15-20 people and I say I knew two or three of them!

Voting isn't really an issue in general as its such a rare thing in events, technically the weekest link is an official event for the news department (hence the theme). It's in its third week and this is the first time tactical voting has been an issue. Due to the rather restrictive format of the event though, I am hoping that we will have 2 events on at the same time so I can pass on those waiting to that room (with a tele or a comment) instead :)
As for events, some definite improvement and Lewis should be pleased with the progress!

Was thinking also of the rather popular murder train/murder manor games where the same couple have forced a win by one of them being the murderer and the other making sure they stay in
But yesssssss multiple events please

Oh that's true, that seems to be hosted quite a lot now as well. Well sam voted out cassie so I don't think they'll be teaming up ever again lol and it seems silly to just attribute it to events staff. non-events can be friends and team up too!

Aww, Charlie. Such kind words. (: Weldone, Lewis.
Events has improved so much it's hard to believe that it was in the state it was only a few weeks ago.
The only criticism I have is that I still think there's too many pure luck games, aka heaven or hell, and that a select few are the ones holding the department. I would be very interested in seeing a chart of events per month per staff member :P

After bingo at 2am tomorrow, that should be the last of most unpopular luck games this coming week! :)
Back in 2010(maybe before or after) when i joined the events department, it was such an honour to actually get a trial and it seemed like everyone worked hard in the dept! Probably due to the great management and dedicated staff, and since then whenever i've returned to the site it just seems like no-one gave a fart! Now it seems like the department is finally on the up.... might join myself ;)
Well Done Events Team :):)

The event that Dragga; is hosting called "Carnival" was really busy which is great. Anyway that could maybe become a weekly event? It would maybe be interesting to see weekly events happening :). Mk,;

There's no banned events for the last three days of the month as it's not a full week anyway. I think I can see that the banned events is certainly helping with a variety and more interesting games. Because there's no banned events these last 3 days, it seems everyone wants to host the more basic games :P (If you check the events table). I'm sure not all of the events staff will be, though.
- this is just coming from my point of view, of course.

Good to hear events are doing well!
However I am still yet to see much buzz about habbox, I always hear my friends talking about HFFM events and TH events so would be nice to see something to generate a bit more attention.
Other than that well done to Mk, and the rest of the team!
