Welcome to Kardan
As RoleXers are by now aware, Kardan is our new TL taking over from the wonderful MissAlice. Kardan hopes that all members of the team have read his small introduction and commented that he is here to keep the standards high. With a new TL comes new plans, some of which will be kept for the future, however Kardan does promise a game after every meeting when he has a game room set up, which is expected some time in February.

Meeting Room
The second item on tonights agenda is the meeting room. The current room is only temporary, depending on the feedback given. PaulDoc commented that the current room lacks warmth which would be nice as it promotes more of a sense of togetherness and team spirit, however the current room will have to do until at least February.

Valentines Events
As 0rca has posted on the forum, the X team are hoping to run some events to celebrate St Valentines Day this year and Kardan would like to make sure that everyone has read this post. Heloeverybody commented that she was a bit confused about what is being asked of X’s for this event regarding random pair-ups for an X Valentines ball. Kardan explained that X’s should be able to nominate themselves if they wish to attend with a Habbo partner. PaulDoc pointed out that by using X’s as a prize, it contradicts what has previously been stated about X’s being “Just like normal Habbos” and therefore is a bit hypocritical of what the X program promotes. Bubblebaron stated that he would prefer if X’s could choose, rather than to use the opportunity to partner an X as a prize. As a conclusion, Kardan noted that if anyone else has any ideas or comments, please raise them on 0rca’s thread.

Infobus Sessions
X’s are asked to post in the thread named “Infobus rights” if you have them. This ensures that 0rca has all the names of everyone who has rights on the bus, making it easier overall. Re-call commented that since they got rid of Saturday sessions many Xs are unable to do sessions and therefore asked if it is necessary to PM 0rca if you no longer need rights for the bus or want them removed. Kardan advised that he should. PaulDoc and Re-Call both asked if the Saturday sessions could be reinstated as there is likely to be a chance of more X’s signing up for sessions to times they can make. It was also noted there was recently a lack of X’s signing up for Thursday sessions recently, and that if possible can people please put their names down for sessions if you are able to make it.

PaulDoc inquired if it was possible for Kardan to see what is happening regarding the X Workshops which were meant to have been happening, however were recently shelved. It was pointed out many X’s had sessions planned and ready to go, until the time came when it was cancelled. Re-call suggested that the X Workshops could be held in the Infobus, hopefully promoting it too killing two birds with the one stone and centralising a Habbo’s point of information from X’s other than the WL, Spa or Gaming rooms. Dracolis and Bubblebaron both gave their backing to the ideas.

RoleX comings and goings.

As RoleXers are by now aware, Kardan is our new TL taking over from the wonderful MissAlice. Kardan hopes that all members of the team have read his small introduction and commented that he is here to keep the standards high. With a new TL comes new plans, which he hopes to implement with the introduction of the new Xs. however Kardan does promise a game after every meeting when he has a game room set up, which is expected some time in February/March.
The team should also be aware that PaulDoc has now left the team to become the Team Leader of Xplore, and that the team wish him the best of luck.

Meeting Room

The second item on tonights agenda is the meeting room. The current room is only temporary, depending on the feedback given. Kardan will create a thread in the RoleX forum towards the end of January to ask for feedback on the current room and ask for ideas for a future room, RoleXers can also volunteer to help design the room if they wish. Dbgtz expressed interest in this.

Valentines Events

As 0rca has posted on the forum, the X team are hoping to run some events to celebrate St Valentines Day this year and Kardan would like to make sure that everyone has read this post. 0rca has also recently posted another post if anyone would like to help out with the judging of the dance competition on the 6th/7th/8th of February from 4pm to 5pm GMT. If anyone helps to join, they should post in that thread. As a conclusion, Kardan noted that if anyone else has any ideas or comments, please raise them on the main thread.

Infobus Sessions

X’s are asked to post in the thread named “Infobus rights” if you have them. This ensures that 0rca has all the names of everyone who has rights on the bus, making it easier overall. Dbgtz commented on how to Infobus session were now just repeating themselves and were becoming dull and that turnout to the sessions were becoming lower and lower, Kardan told the group that a revamp was in place for the Infobus and they should keep their eyes peeled on the forum. It was also noted there was recently a lack of X’s signing up for Thursday sessions recently, and that if possible can people please put their names down for sessions if you are able to make it on the relevant thread.

Dbgtz inquired about the mentor program that took place in July 2007 with the introduction of the new eXperts back then. He was wondering if it would once again be happening and how mentors would be chosen, he suggested that they would have to apply. Kardan said he would bring it up for them. Dracolis also commented that he needed Infobus rights and Kardan would tell management when the forum was back up.

Meeting Minutes Volunteer

With PaulDoc flying away from RoleX early last month, Kardan noted that we needed a new X to take the meeting minutes, Eubanks offered to volunteer with him trying it out next meeting and Kardan would PM him information about it. Eubanks agreed.

RoleX Comings and goings

Once again more experts have joined RoleX! Clover,x, Crimple and Kevoe are all new Xlings and Noto has also joined the group. We’ve also said goodbye to heloeverybody and efficiency from RoleX. Everyone that attended the meeting welcomed the new Xs to the group.

New Xs were also told to read and then post to clarify that they have read the ‘Xling top tips’ thread posted by PaulDoc in the X library forum.

Team building activities

With the arrival of new experts Kardan proposed a series of team building exercises and games for RoleX in the coming meetings in order to make the group as close as possible. The group agreed with it and the team did a small introduction activity to the rest of the group towards the end of the meeting.

Mentoring

Once again the mentor scheme has arrived along with the new Xs. Mentor/Mentee couples were posted on the forum earlier in the week and all couples have had a chat and all new Xs are off Xing. Kardan asked if everything was going okay, in which all agreed.

Kardan then asked for every Mentor and Mentee to PM him a report on how they're doing (in the mentee’s case) and how the new X is doing (in the mentor’s case) at the end of each month. Xs will be notified nearer the time by a private message over the forum.

BullyBuster seminars

Kardan asked if anyone in the group had took part in a BullyBusters seminar yet and all replied no, Kardan then gave a brief explanation of what it included to the new Xs and encouraged the older Xs to try and sign up after reading the in depth posts posted by BarbaraAnne and then PM Bigbutsound if interested.

Eubanks expressed interest in this. Kevoe asked if it was compulsory to take part in the seminars in which Kardan replied no but it would be preferred if Xs did take part, he also noted that Xs can choose their own times for seminars in order to fit around the busy schedules some Xs might have.

Valentines Ball

Xs were reminded that the valentine ball was on the 14th of February at 4pm and that Xs that attend may be asked to do some entertainment such as stand up comedy, dances etc although it’s not compulsory. Some experts inquired whether they had to go, since it was at an awkward time to some, in which Kardan replied no even though it will be a fun time for all and will be a great bonding time for the X team as a whole.

Kardan also noted that there will be a fancy dress competition for partners judged by management.

Dracolis inquired on the X Team Challenge event that took place last year in February and Kardan said he would ask if such an event would take place this time around.

Re-Call asked when the Infobus revamp would be taken place and Kardan said that new times are still being looked into/discussed.

Closure

Kardan closed the meeting by a quick team bonding activity; everyone that attended gave a short summary of themselves along with hobbies etc for the team to get to know each other better. Kardan then apologized for the meeting taking forever, since there was so much on the agenda as everything seemed to happen at once.

Kardan then finally closed the meeting and reminded attendees that the next meeting is on Saturday 23rd February at 9pm.

Team building activities

Mentoring

Kardan told RoleX that he would be posting thread on Mentors & Mentees report, and what he expects to be in it later tonight. This is the chance for both Mentors & Mentees to give feedback about one another. This report will be need before the end of this month.

BullyBuster seminars

Kardan asked if anyone contacted BigButSound since the last meeting to arrange a session. No-one had contacted him. Kardan then explained that BigButSound was still looking for X’s to take part in seminars and told RoleX to check the thread for more details. Eubanks then commented that he is still reading the thread made by Barbaranne – “BullyBusters Curriculum Guide”. Noto then asked if Kardan could PM him important thread links that needed to be read. Kardan told Noto about the thread made by PaulDoc “Xlings top tips & Key points!” and agreed to PM him the link after the meeting.

Using the Call For Help

Kardan explained to RoleX about using the CFH about another X and that there might be times where another X makes you fell awkward in the hotel. Now to make sure something can be done about it you need send a CFH asap so the chat log is included. But with the message you need to include a little note such as for “X management” so they can look over it. Experts are normal Habbos as well, so you can use the CFH where it applies. RoleX members agreed.

Fansite/Group Forum Conduct

Kardan brought up that on Fansite forums and Group forums there have been a few threads discussing Xs, which soon turned very negative. We all have a basic instinct to defend the X team, but its best not to get involved in any threads, even if you’re not in client you’re still part on the X team. If an X replies to one of these threads it just adds fuel to fire so it’s best to keep away - the same goes on discussions within the client. RoleX members understood, and agreed.

Team Building Activities

Kardan explained to RoleX about the first Team Building activity which happened through out the past week, creating the new Meeting Room. Kardan asked RoleX for feedback on what they though of the new room, and explained that it got put together quickly and could do with more improvement. Most was done by dbgtz so that RoleX could either build on it, or edit the room with their own ideas. Kardan reminded RoleX that the Thread was still open for more idea/feedback from everyone and request furniture needed so that he can drop it. Crimple commented saying that she thought it would be nice if there would be an actual time in which the creation of the new Meeting Room could happen. Kardan then asked RoleX if they liked the idea – it was then agreed that at the end of the second March meeting RoleX would all help create the new Meeting Room or incorporate bits and gather it all into one.

Kardan explained to RoleX that he will also be doing a game at the end of each Monthly meeting so that all members can have fun, and win furniture. He reminded RoleX that these games are optional – but it is just a bit of fun and hopefully gets us all to bond.

Specialisation Events

Kardan asked RoleX if they understood the happenings of Monthly Specialisation Events. Each month a certain Specialisation hosts an event for the Habbo public to enjoy - Kardan the told RoleX that each type of X will have three months in the year to host events where you can pair up with another X or standard and create an event. Now this month was Gamers month and sadly due to lack of sign ups its format had to be changed and we don’t really want this for other months, so when yours month comes please try and join in.

BubbleBaron explained May/onwards is really the only time he was available. Kardan said it was ok and that Gamers next month is July. So he may feel free to sign up then.

Re-Call asked what times the events took place, or if you could pick it yourself.
Kardan explained that you could pick the day and time as long as it is within your month.

Kardan notified each Specialisation the timetable for their events:

Gaming Month = March/July/October
Safety & Tech = May/August/November
Host Month = January/June/September
(Leaving Feb for Valentines, April for Easter and December for Christmas clear)

Infobus Sessions

Kardan asked if anyone read the thread maded by 0rca about the new Infobus Timetable and if they had signed up. RoleX confirmed that they had read the thread. Kardan reminded RoleX that you could pick your own time, and any topic out of the list of 24.

Kevoe asked if Standard Xs were able to take part in there sessions
Kardan confirmed that Standard Xs cannot take part - this is the same with the normal Infobus sessions.

Re-call asked about the topics given by 0rca. Kardan told Re-Call that you can do same time and day but it means you would do the topic each fortnight and you would alternate each week. Kardan reminded RoleX that you must sign up by Monday as that is when 0rca is doing timetable. So if you are interested in hosting a session you will need to hurry up. Also the normal Tuesday/Thursday sessions are also running along with this new timetable.

Crimple asked that as a Standard X can they watch an Infobus sesssion and observe. Kardan confirmed that it was allowed - but you will have to turn off your X badge and visit the session as a normal Habbo and watch.

Team Confidentiality

Kardan explained that during the last few weeks a direct quote was taken from the X forum and posted to a public Habbo discussion board. Kardan reminded RoleX that this is unacceptable and if anyone is caught breaching the Confidentiality of the X Team then they will be dealt with severely by the X Management. All Xs confirmed that they understood.

Specialisation Events

Kardan once again commented on the lack of gamer Xs signing up for the gaming month. Even though no gamer Xs were in attendance, Kardan reminded Xs to sign up when their time comes as it’s a brilliant way to get the X team involved more with the Habbo community.

Re-Call commented that due to the set times of the sessions he wouldn’t be able to attend Host X Events. Kardan noted this but reminded Re-Call that you can choose your own times and events if you sign up beforehand. Set times were introduced for the gamers month due to lack of sign up.

Mentor/Mentee Reports

Towards the end of the month Kardan reminded all mentors and mentees present that he would be creating another thread for feedback on the mentor program. Xs involved in the program said that they all needed to catch up with each other a bit more but due to recent account problems this was making it difficult. Kardan noted the fact but urged the need for pairs to still be in contact with each other. Everyone agreed.

Dracolis inquired about Infobus Rights and requested them, he then asked about how Infobus Sessions work so RoleX went to the Habbo Gardens for an explanation on when to enter and leave the Infobus.

Kardan closed the meeting and reminded RoleX about the mentor thread as well as the meeting dates for April being posted in the future. The meeting room building was delayed due to lack of turn up and lack of time.

Hotel Events

Kardan explained that new rules have been up into place regarding eXperts and taking part in hotel wide events. Xs must no longer attend hotel wide events on X accounts due to the override feature and if any X wishes to take part in an event they must do so on their clone account.
Xs then inquired about room competitions and other competitions that don’t involve room access, and that it’s unfair that we have to transfer furniture to other accounts for room competitions. Kardan agreed but pointed out that unless we are told that we can take part in room competitions on our X account, we must do it on a clone. Kardan finished by saying he would ask regarding other competitions and if we can take part on X accounts.
Dracolis pointed out that our reputation is also effected each time an X wins and this is due to the simple fact of us being an X and that it is associated with us using override, whether we did or not. Kardan agreed in saying that the best option is to use a unrelated account name, for example one that doesn’t relate to your X account name in anyway. Kardan noted that this isn’t compulsory but would help.

Removal of Override

Kardan explained that override has now been removed from the Standard X Badge and all in attendance were already aware of this. Dbgtz commented on how Xs were supposed to X if all three welcome lounges were full. Kardan noted that this case was unlikely but if this were to happen you could queue up to get into the room which takes a matter of seconds or simply X within another public room.

Kardan also pointed out that this may cause a few problems with Infobus sessions and XEvents in the future, the best way to deal with this was to have back up Xs within the room in case anything were to happen.

Kardan reminded Xs not to indulge in any possibly arguments regarding the X Team or more specifically the removal of override as it’s only adding fuel to the fire. All Xs agreed.

Shoutbox Activity

Kardan reminded Xs that you should NOT be active in the shoutbox whilst Xing or taking part in Xing activities. Clover,x noted that some Xs could be distracted and hover between Xing and the shoutbox. Kardan suggested that if the public room seems a bit quiet then perhaps an X should use their console rather than the shoutbox as the console is within the client.

Safety/Tech Month

May is the Safety/Tech specialisation month and Safety/Tech Xs should be looking to join in as well as any Xlings that are aiming towards the Safety/Tech specialisation if they pass their three month trial. Safety/Tech Team Leaders will post more information nearer the time.

End of Xling Trials

Kardan noted that the Xling’s three month trial has now reached an end and after the final batch of Mentor/Mentee reports their progress will be reviewed. Kardan will post a thread for the final batch of Mentor/Mentee reports nearer the time.

XBlogs

Kardan told Xs that XBlogs are making a comeback. The current format is that Xs each email a blog to the X Email Address going in alphabetical order, so all Xs beginning with ‘A’ should be making sure they’ve started their blogs. Kardan noted that RoleX have a majority of the members with letters towards the start of the alphabet (1 B, 2 C’s, 2 D’s and an E) so Xs should get their thinking caps on. Redtiz posted a thread previously on what makes a good blog.

Some Xs expressed concern that they might not have anything interesting to write about and Kardan told Xs that XBlogs are not compulsory.

Dbgtz suggested the idea of a ‘Meet the Xs’ room that could open once a week so the community and Xs could interact with each other. Kardan said he would bring up the idea in the Team Leader meeting later this month.

Dracolis suggested the idea of an ‘XGames’ such as the one in February 2007 where the different X Teams took part in a series of events. Kardan said RoleX should keep their eyes open for new information on the subject.

Tension between experts

Kardan explained that recently there has been high tension between Xs and has in some cases lead to bullying. This is extremely unacceptable and Kardan told Xs that if they feel at any time that they are being bullied they should contact Kardan as soon as possible. Nothing can be done about it if nothing is said. All Xs agreed.

Infobus Sessions

Kardan told Xs that ed2k is doing the final timetable of the new Infobus sessions in which you can choose the subject and time of the session that will be held each week. Kardan then told Xs that this was the last time you could join the sessions before they start and the timetable gets published, if they wish to do so they must PM ed2k as soon as possible.

Dbgtz asked if the sessions had to be done with a partner, which Kardan confirmed. Infobus Sessions must NEVER be hosted alone.

Host Month

June is host month and it’s just around the corner. Ardl has posted a thread on the forum to gather ideas and if any hosts have any ideas then it’s a good time to post them so the team can discuss them. Kardan hoped that host experts within the team would be able to take part, and the two in attendance said they would try.

Education Breaks

Kardan reminded Xs that education breaks are still available if experts are finding it hard to carry out Xing duties whilst numerous exams and revision for exams are taking place. Education breaks involve a maximum of 6 weeks with a standard X badge and no longer having to attend team meetings. Kardan reminded Xs that education breaks must be organized two weeks prior to when the break is proposed to begin.

XBlogs

Kardan told Xs that ‘C’ blogs can still be sent in which meant that ‘D’ blogs would soon be required. Kardan reminded Xs beginning with the letter ‘D’ to think of some ideas and subjects to write in their blogs.

Dbgtz inquired if the Infobus was planned to get a new sponsor, Kardan had no information on this but would bring it up at the next Team Leader meeting.

The subject of the Snowstorm and Battleball competitions was brought up and Kardan was asked if the weekly competition was still running; Kardan answered no since prizes haven’t been given out since the change to the new website layout. The idea of reintroducing the competition was bought up with the possibility that Xs could do something to promote it.

The subject of Wobble Squabble was then brought up, asking if the competition and the badge was ever introduced to the UK hotel, which it hadn’t. Once again, Xs suggested that they could help promote it when/if it comes to the hotel.

BubbleBaron then mentioned that the banners within the Welcome Lounge no longer state that eXperts are there to help; Kardan said he’d look into it further.

Safety/Tech Xing within Welcome Lounges

Kardan explained that Safety and Tech eXperts are now allowed to X within Welcome Lounges after the golden 15 minutes are done within the Safety Spa. All Xs were aware of this change.

Infobus Sessions

Kardan told Xs that the new Infobus Sessions have now started and reminded Xs that if they are doing a session they must do the session with a partner.

Host Month

Any Xs that are involved with the Host X quest should have furniture lists sent off to Ardl so work can be started, if anyone else has any ideas for Host Month, they should bring them up.

AOB

Xs inquired if an X Awards ceremony would be carried out this year, with a variety of awards being discussed. Kardan said he would ask about this, and a discussion on the forum lead to Xs agreeing that the awards take place later on in the year.

Gamer Xs asked about the lack of gaming tickets they have received recently, Kardan would also ask about this, but due to the changes to SnowStorm and BattleBall it is likely that the duration between tickets being given out will be longer.

Meeting eXperts in real life

Kardan mentioned the thread recently posted on the forum by X Management stating that Xs should NEVER meet up with an expert in real life; and if there is evidence that a meeting has took place, it will be looked into. Kardan informed Xs that they should read the thread and confirm that they have understood the contents of the thread by replying to it. Xs agreed.

CFH – Emergencies Only

Xs were reminded that the call for help must be used in emergencies only. For low priority problems such as blockers or flooders the call for help must not be used. Blockers can be combated by Xing within another room and flooders can be combated by the Shut Up button.
