I have some tutors who are shocking with technology, can take up to 10 minutes just for them to load Youtube on Google Chrome. Once one lecturer took about 5 minutes trying to figure out how to go full screen in powerpoint. I rarely come across teachers and tutors who are literate with computers etc. What is your experience?

To a point but my lecturer did once open internet explorer (with msn as the homepage) and put google into the bing bar because she wanted to search for something

Omg some of my college tutors were awflu on the computer it was actually shocking! As a part of the course we had to do an IT module and on the first day the lecturer was showing us the different parts of the keyboard like space bar and the backspace. It was painful.

Most of the teachers at college know how to use technology. I think most of them now have ipads and so when they teach they can shows us stuff using it.

One teacher I had once typed 'You Tube.' into Google really slowly, we were howling. :P

I can't really laugh though as I didn't know how to turn my own TV on.

One of our teachers used to type www.google.com into the Google Chrome URL part even though whatever she typed would have ended up in Google search anyway. She'd always ask us how to make YouTube videos full screen too and how to copy and paste and stuff.

LOL they were awful. That awkward silence as they struggle to do simple tasks until someone takes pity and does it for them. In school, the computer of our french teacher was right near one of the desks and she was useless at computers. We'd unplug the mouse, she'd go to use it and find it wasn't working so she'd go to fetch one of the IT technicians. While she was gone, it was plugged back in so she looked really stupid when the IT technican came in and the mouse worked fine. Cruel but it was funny

Chug!
