no. do we even do that over here?
It's offered by the NHS to people with health problems such as asthma and also to the elderly and people who work in healthcare.
I've got the flu jab this year.

so i dont think so
i have my jabs in school coming up tho lol
For everyone who has the misconception that the flu vaccine is only for the elderly:
However, flu can be more severe in certain people such as:
anyone over the age of 65
pregnant women
children and adults with an underlying health condition (particularly long-term heart or respiratory disease)
children and adults with weakened immune systems
therefore:
The flu vaccine is given free on the NHS as an annual injection to:
adults over the age of 18 at risk of flu (including everyone over 65)
children aged six months to two years at risk of flu

I don't get it but some members of my family get it every year just to be safe.

Yeah I got it last year but I don't really see the point in it. I still got sick :(. It really hurt too so I won't get it again. I hate needles in general so I'm not getting ones that I don't really need.

Yeah I got it a few years ago when there was a bad flu outbreak, and my parents work in the hospital so they really wanted us to have it. I got really sick for like a week after getting it though.
I've been told that I should get it because I work with children and could catch something but injections scare me so much so I haven't done it yet :P I'm getting out of the field anyway so won't be a problem for much longer!
I'm supposed to have one because of my immune system but I don't because I have a tendency to throw up or faint on nurses when they're trying to shove needles in my arm
No, people in my office get it though.

No I don't. I've had the flu before and it was horrible but I was alright in the end (took 2 weeks to get better though and the cough lasted ages :()

Woah, are you not worried about that? Do you not plan to get them done? If you've had 0 vaccinations, then you've missed out on tons...

i'm homoeopathic (not out of choice though parents brought me up like it) so that's all against me having them anyway, but i've always been fine without them personally. whether or not i'll get them in the future once i've moved out off to uni though i dunno since i'm definitely ditching that stuff

well it is supposed to technically improve the strength of your immune system though this way at least which i suppose is a benefit :P

Personally I think the benefit of not catching measles/mumps/meningitis/tetanus/diphtheria/polio/whooping cough etc. outweighs that benefit :P

Yeah it makes your immune system stronger against colds etc.. but it's never gonna be strong enough to fight against whooping cough, polio, mumps, etc on its own!! Go and get punctured.. fast!

I did every year while I worked at a medical centre and in the years before as it was free but now I've quit and the rules have changed and I have to pay quite a bit so I don't bother, poor student :P

I got it last year because I was in year 12 and my mum didn't want me to get sick and do badly. I had it the year before that too.
