I have tickets for the wales vs france game and been offered tickets for the england game in twickenham.
Anybody else going to any of the matches? and who's going to win?
Obviously I'm hoping for another Welsh Championship, but I'm not holding my breath - Welsh rugby is in such a fragile state I'm worried it may have a negative effect of performance. However, the squad is immensely experienced and if they find the right balance can still win. England will be strong again this year but I don't think they'll be as dramatic as they were at the start of last seasons championship. France I think will also be very good but I'm not sure regarding Ireland.

England have a young team. Let's hope they perform as well as they did last year.
WOT I DIDN'T REALISE IT WAS SO CLOSE!! :D I'll be following the 6 Nations as I do every year so I'll update the scoreboard each weekend if you guys want. I might try and get to a few of the matches in the Aviva this year if I can get some decent tickets for some sort of cheap rate :P
Honestly I'm not sure how Ireland are going to do this year. We won't have O Gara this year and lately Ireland have been trying to introduce two new kickers and they'll probably be put on a lot during the tournament. It's O' Driscoll's last one I believe so I'm sure he's going to want to go out with a bang.
I have a cheeky feeling France will be pretty damn good this year.
I really hope they're as excellent as they were last year!! Quite sickening for us that your only away watches are to England and France :/

I'm not sure Wales have it in them for three consecutive titles, but hey, if England are down on injuries and Ireland play like they did against the Aussies (and nothing like against NZ!) then we have a chance. Thought I'm not writing off the dark horses which are France.
Final standing predictions anyone?
England and Wales are currently tied odds to get a Grand Slam with France closely behind

I thought we were piss poor and will get slaughtered by Ireland if we don't improve quickly. Hats off to Italy though.
France v England was a good game to watch, it has to be said!

I missed the France and England one! I saw the Wales and Italy one and I thought it was a boring match and what I saw of the Ireland match wasn't overly exciting but I was in work and literally missed every score :P

Sexton ran through 5 players and delivered a sweet pass. That was pretty much the highlight. Scotland were nowhere to be seen.
Annoyed that we lost to France but we didn't play bad at all with a very young team.

I'm so impressed with Sexton. He has come so far in the past year or two. He's such a great player. I think he has a fantastic career ahead of him

Sad weekend, polished off with France beating Italy.
It was quite possibly the worst Welsh performance I have ever seen, and that might be an understatement. Hopefully they can cut the insane amount of mistakes out in 2 weeks otherwise I will not be a happy bunny!

I actually thought the Welsh defense was pretty strong. The only way we could get pass it was using them maul which tbh I hate seeing. I just don't think it's good rugby. I think the ref for that match and the Frace - Italy match were both awful!

Guys every single time Ireland came out of a ruck (and Conor Murray didn't kick it away) they could not get past the Welsh, defence, there was a wall of Welsh players stopping the Irish getting through. There were a few lucky runs where Ireland got through but the Welsh were quite strong in that aspect. I do agree they were piss poor everywhere else :P

I feel Italy were cheated too. I feel they played so much better, especially in the first half. I thought France played very dirty.
Mike Phillips is a legend, i've witnessed many of his scuffs irl too :P
He's so angry and he thinks he needs to get involved with every little bicker that's going on. He really just needs to sit down xD
The Welsh defence, even if it wasn't BAD, was not even close to the standard it normally is. The offence was just, terrible, so un-welsh like. Nothing to take away from a great Irish performance but Wales were absolutely awful, we really need to sort it out if we want any chance of retaining our title. If I was Gats then i'd be making some seriously ballsy changes for the next game.
As good as the Irish have been performing thus far I think England could be a toughy in a fortnights time in Twickenham
now recovering from the Welsh game last night. i can't really remember much, but what I do was amazing!
there was literally so many French in cardiff, never seen anything like it!

Good victory over the Irish, proves the team are something special even if they are all so young.
Heart broken with the Irish lost but at the same time, Ireland really didn't deserve to win that match.

nobody can win the grand slam because everyone has lost at least one game. Ireland, England, Wales and France have all won 2 games each and can win it if they win the remainder of their games!

Good day all round I thought!
Picked the right game to go to and fair play to all the travelling Scottish fans - they were in full singing voice even at the end.
Congrats on the 6N Ireland, and a fond farewell Mr. BOD.
Ireland didn't deserve it with their performance against France but o well.. I'm bound to say that :P
That match yesterday was so intense! Sloppy play at5 times by my heart actually stopped when France scored and the end. Properly didn't think it was going to disallowed because of what the ref was saying when watching the replay. I know England didn't win and that's disappointing for you guys but England, Wales and Ireland all went out with a bang this season!
Oh what a difference Biggar over Priestland makes… and Davies in the centres.
