Google has just sold it's Motorola Unit which it bought in 2012 for $12.5bn for to Chinese computer marker Lenovo for $3bn.
The Motorola division was believed to have been bought by google partly for its many patents which it thought would help it win many of the patent wars it was in. However the patents didn't really help and the division caused a loss financially for Google.
My dad actually bought a basic cheap Motorola smartphone really telling me they were a good brand that everyone had even though I told him I know no one who owns one anymore. Does anyone on here own a Motorola phone and do you think the purchase will help? To me, if Google couldn't re popularise Motorola, I can't see Lenovo being successful.
